Hi Nada- I am so glad you got good news. You are so smart for changing OB's. It seems like it is so difficult to find good doctors--it sounds like you have one now that will listen to you and give you the attention you need and deserve. I hope your mind it at ease now (hopefully) and look forward to hearing more good news. As for the CF testing, we did not have it done because neither one of us has a history of CF in our families.

Celine Dion Miscarried
Published (2009-11-11 20:22:00)
I have never been a big Celine Dion fan, but I'm really feeling her pain right now as she ttc #2.? She and I are the same age, and cycled at the same hospital (I've since changed due to move), so I'm not sure if this is some kind of bad omen for me, or just a chance to focus on someone else for a change!? They announced the pregnancy in august, right after the FET, but she miscarried 3 days later.? They tried another FET last...

....good news, Yay...so happy for you!! Good call on switching OB's!! I am glad that you found an OB that pays attention and cares. I don't remember the timing for the CF testing. Google it(or Bing. or Yahoo..whatever you use :). Thanks for the update. I hope you are having a great weekend basking in the excitement of your healthy pregnancy!! Take care, Jerrae

Nope, it's really more blond. For some reason, blond hair always has a tint of red in photos! I sa my psychiatrist today and have an appt for next week with a therapist, so I feel better about that. Plus, I am feeling better today than I did a couple of days ago.? Hopefully things will continue to improve.

New here ... early pg anxiety
Published (2009-11-13 17:10:00)
Wow, I was thinking of you today and wondering where you were in your quest for #2!! Congrats!!! The anxiety won't go away (sorry to say), but you have made it this far and that is a wonderful thing. I too have a tilted uterus so I know what is is like not to find a HB for a while. Keep us posted on your progress.

BAAAAAAAAAD breathe
Published (2009-11-14 20:59:00)
In our house, bad breathe stems from being unable to breathe through the nose. Is Noah congested or does he have allergies? If so, the bad breathe may be temporary. As far as cleaning his mouth, if he will not let you brush the teeth, see what he will let you do. Will HE brush them (I know he's a bit young, but if he's in control, then he may be more cooperative). If not, can you/he use a wet cloth to wipe the teeth/gums? Will he...

The only definite tests for Down syndrome are a CVS, which I think needs to be done by 13-ish weeks or the amnio, which my maternal-fetal specialist won't do before 16 weeks. They usually won't do it unless your screening tests show in increased risk fora chromosomal abnormality or you have a family history of certain genetic disorders. I'm assuming they can test for CF with either of those tests as well. Are you and DH both...

Elissa,
I'm so sorry you had a scary week. I don't think you're selfish. Why would you be? You want another baby---what's wrong with that?!
We have 2.5 year old twins and are going back to the RE next month after hoping and hoping for a freebie. That's only going back for #3, but I know that a lot of peope wouldn't do that either, but we really feel like a baby would make our family ...

I too am sorry that she had a miscarriage for ttc#2. I am surprised at how fast she broke the news that she was pg again. I actually remember when she announced she was pg with her son, back in 2000. She was pg the same time I was with my ds, who is now 8. She did it like the week she found out she was pg, and not the typical 10-12 weeks. I know we all get excited, but gosh, right after ...

Hi Karisa, Your PIO schedule, although different, seems reasonable. Some RE's have you PIO for 9 weeks and others 12 weeks. It's better to go too long than not long enough, since the extra hormones will not harm the baby. It's nice that you do every other day PIO!! I did every day for 10 days, then suppositories three times a day until week 12. The suppositories are just as effective, as ...

I'm so sorry you are struggling with this.
I was 28 when we started TTC, 29 when we went the infertility route. The dx was unexplained, although I have since had a confirmed dx of endometriosis. We did 2 IUI + clomid, 3 IUI + injectibles and a fresh IVF cycle. ALL BFN. I have never been so shocked when I POASed after the next treatment---a FET--and saw a BFP. I had never been pregnant before...

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I am in the 2ww but I didn't do an hpt because I didn't have confidence in the results. I do think 10dpo is early so hang in there. Good luck to you!

Hi, Jan-
I have the original Weissbluth book but the twin book wasn't out yet when I needed it. The original book has a few pages on twins- to tell you the truth it was not very helpful. I hope the twin one is better because the original book does not really go into much depth with twin issues. It was good for general theory, though. Our issue was that for the longest time Sonia was a ...
