Coming from someone who has autocrossed and road coursed for more than a two decades and has been a road course instructor since 2002, personally thinks drifting adds no value to motorsports. Probably the best and most interesting form of training you could do would be to find a rally cross school. I'd even find that entertaining as there is allot of polar moment as rally drivers swing the car around like pendulum. Norm

I found a document (on this very site) that someone had posted, entitled "Solstice & Sky Body Adjustments". Gives soup to nuts instruction on aligning every body panel, rear bumper to front. Unfortunately I didn't save the link, just the doc. If you want a copy, PM me with your email and I'll send it (it's a .pdf ~1.5MB)

Nice work on this build! Great job with the intercooler. You'll get lots of air through there. Maybe thats why its faster ? I'm with the crowd on badging. The front end makes it "not a GXP" so I'd remove most all badges - maybe leave the Pontiac arrow for posterity, and as a thank you to Pontiac for such a great platform to start with.

I'd go for it especially if I could then remove the rearview, passenger and driver side mirrors.

I have come accross a squirells collection on top of my engine. No damage. I think it's mice that have a taste for wires. It will be war on all rodents if they mess with my car anymore. Why do they like to nible on wires anyway. Could we not at least add something in the shield's mix that tastes like crap? For all we know, they add cheese flavor just to make more business Cats and I have an understanding.

I can't believe that after 6 quick months........its a wreck!
Unless they sell it to you for $5k......don't go for it. I know you miss your car.....but the money/time/sweat that you'll dump on it will be too much....
Im sorry about your ex-car......

It happened to me, I bought an 07 GXP that had the front bumper removed
when I brought it to my dealership so they said that it might have been in
an accident and the owner fixed it themselves but it had no frame/engine
damage. The place you purchased it from isn't liable because they may not
have known either since it wasn't on a carfax and the owner just traded it
in most likely. I ended up ...

I just read this week GM is going to start promoting a sales event to get rid of the remaining Pontiacs. Which means if you currently have a Solstice it might be a bad time to sell. On the otherhand, those who waited (with the understanding a limited supply means limited choices) it may be the best time to buy new. Your mileage may vary.

No problems. Is garage level? 5 qts oil with filter. With filter on top the oil it holds is negliable anyway. Oil expands when hot.
