Neighbors house burned last night
Published (2009-11-23 08:21:00)
I've been helping him with stuff the last few days. Running power cords, hauling stuff around that kind of thing. Insurance company has already kicked out $5K to them for stuff and they are looking for a house to rent for them. Service master showed up and took everything that was salvagable to clean and bordered up the rest of the house.

Its your tie rod ball joint. Had the same thing with my 04 rubicon. Hit 52 and it shook like crazy, especially when you started to turn in a curve in the road. You can check it under no load, on jacks, and you will notice one of your ball joints slightly move (pass side is the long arm). I replaced the long arm side twice and was looking at a tie rod conversion kit ( numerous available) to remedy. Drove me crazy balancing tires (33's),...

Very Cool. Is that your shop across from the Artic Circle?
As for tube, locally Farwest used to be the best place, but I see that Pacific in Nampa is stocking now also.
I've also heard that you can get a good price if you order from Salt Lake, I don't know, never tried it.

i've always liked the early scout, especially with updated running gear it should be a great around town rig and mild trail rig. what is your budget for the build? are you going to try to make it fairly capable or just going for reliable around town? what suspension are you going to use? i'm sure you know, but a lot of us toy guys run the stock rear leafs up front and a set of 1/2 ton chevy leafs...
