Due to my not having an Internet connection at the moment this will have to be brief. I have printed 30x40 inch prints with a 6 megapixel crop sensor camera. I think yor issue might be to do with aspect ratios. Most dSLRs will have aratio of 2:3, whereas photo sizes are 5:4. This means that you ought to be able to fill an A4 or other 'A' sizes OK if you have not cropped the image. If you have, you will have to resize the image. If...

... To get perfection in printing, especially when cropping images, its always better to be having your own printer..... The person who prints your pic can not see what you want, and will be using automatic software to get your print's size to "as big as will fit the paper", but thats it..... If you have use of any printer yourself, try doing some experimentation with a quick "Draft" setting, using...

I divide Li-ion batteries into four categories:
1. OEM. Relatively expensive but works well and is safe
2. Branded copy, some unbranded, often counterfeit with OEM markings. Less expensive but works well and is safe
3. Unbranded copy. Cheap, OK for a while, dubious safety (may overheat on charging)
4. Unbranded copy, usually counterfeit with OEM markings. Very cheap but is a total con as...

Of the two I'd go for the 50mm. Small telephotos are best for portraits.
I've merged this thread with your old one as it is on the same subject.

Perhaps wait for some in-depth reviews of the 7D? For me it would be a simple choice as I wouldn't want the weight of the 1D, and also the APS-H format falls between two stools as I see it.

Well, I joined but whether you get your £1 is moot as I have to have £5 of cashback first - and don't see anyone with whom I order over the 'net

You have to be a current registered nikon user. I think this only counts for the people who were registered already and not for the people who are going to register now.
But the deal is great. Even if you don't want the SB900. Then sell it and you've got yourself a nice camera for a great deal.

First advice would be a complete update of your programs and then sweep with all anti-nasty software you have "Just in case",
Use Spybot ( The home of Spybot-S&D! ) and/or Ad-Aware ( Ad-Aware by Lavasoft - Antivirus software, free spyware removal, firewall ) to do any spyware sweeps, and then a clean-up with CCleaner ( CCleaner - Home ) to tidy up...

Not trying to stir anything up here but isn't that the one that has a fault Apple are in denial about?
It's an old story in IT terms: -
