Thanks, cat. I wonder if there a "standard" number of "regular" and "maximum" rings or if it's different by carrier too?

CDMA and GSM?

Your coverage is based on carrier. You can use it CDMA only on Alltel/VZW/Sprint or unlock it and port your number to a GSM carrier such as ATT or T-Mo but don't believe you could use it with a CDMA carrier and have it pick up GSM/EDGE in poor EVDO areas. ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~

Google maps questions?
Published (2009-07-05 13:05:00)
Gmaps can also work without using GPS at all, os if its blocked by your carrier or something it will just use cell triangulation... useing the towers around you. I have seen it work on an 8100, and even a pantech duo I installed it on. IT also has a little blue arorrow that moves on the map with you (although not always the most accurate. But it is close enough.

Personally, I find the playlist creation easier with Unsynced. I also like the fact that I can change the skin of the player. Plus the top key being the play/pause, it's easier to pause the music when I'm running since I don't have to pull it out of the case.

Sorry that didn't work. Try this, just for the heck of it, take your media card out of the device. I had a curve once that never would connect to my pc. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone else has some more ideas. ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~

It has a hidden dock and the chopsticks are the Icon Focus for the homescreen, it looks pretty neat because they like slide to the next piece. Enjoy!!! Let me know what you think! ...

From the Wall Street Journal "The Department of Justice has begun an initial review to determine whether large U.S. telecom companies such as AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. have abused the market power they've amassed in recent years, according to people familiar with the matter. The review of potential anti-competitive practices is in its very early stages, and it isn't ...

So i was doing the usual floating around the intarwebs when i noticed something about Telenav for the Verizon Storm, and thought hmmm that strange cause i thought the storm was still GPS locked to BB maps and VZnavigator. Well long story short i checked the Telenav site and they list compatibility for pretty much all of the VZW Berries, including the 8330, and pearl. as well as some other ...

From engadget and BerryReview "It's no secret that using Gmail on a BlackBerry is a painful experience -- since the built-in mail client has shamefully broken IMAP support, your only real choice is a variant of the same Java-based Gmail app that runs on ancient featurephones, and that rules out direct integration with either contacts or attachments. Yeah, it's sad, but hope is in ...

Well it was supposed to go live on May 28th, but that didn't happen, but according to BGR, Facebook 1.6 will go live at 6PM pacific time! Hopefully they postponed it to avoid some of the major issues users had after the initial release of 1.5. Fingers are crossed that 1.6 will be without major issues. Here is a list of some of the features to be expected: Status updates and highlights ...
