It's never been advisable to install non-oficial, leaked versions of BB software.
I think you may want to follow a few steps:
Remove ur bb battery
Plug in ur usb cable
Start DM
Click the update software link
Follow the procedures
Insert battery when prompted
This will recover ur device software. After that, u may update it to the latest version.

This will be a nice add for Verizon BlackBerry users. If I hadn't just pick up the Storm2 this would most likly be my next BlackBerry. Heck it still might be for that matter. I'm still not fully used to the whole touch screen idea.

Betty, when you say you downloaded AT&T 5.0, do you mean Desktop Manager? There is no 5.0 Operating System for your device.
Have you rebooted your PC to reset the USB ports? Have you tried different chargers or USB cables?
