I just had mine: a cup of tea and a thick slice of crusty French bread and creamy butter. Runner up is two hardboiled eggs and a glass of icy cold chocolate milk but the first snack is one I ate as a child every day. What's your favorite?

Well, it's the end of the road, kitties-time to go home! We've had an excellent trip, the Yankees and the Phillies have been great hosts, Aunt Gussie gave us a great meal at the diner, Groucho & his mom stocked the Catmobile in fine style, MooShoo got us a good keg to share, we've had fantastic shopping, there were contraband catnip mousies from...who knows who...what a trip!! We'll all be home for our home team...

Nothing could be more beautiful than a Husky pup. Actually, grown Huskies are pretty doggone gorgeous too!! We love your breed, sweetheart!! You are a very handsome man. My heart kitty would most definitely be Taz. I got him when he was about 3 or 4 months old because his previous owners were allergic to him. He moved several times with me over the 14 years he was with me. He just went to the bridge, due to kidney failure, this past July 2nd. I miss him so much, I still cry sometimes.
I think my heart doggie would be Zoee. She is really "my" first dog. ...

I am sorry this has to be your first post. but we here on PT understand the loss of a pet. And it sounds like Squeak was your heart kitty, as well.
Hold on to those memories, she lives on in your heart and your memories. Looking at the photos was great. Do you have a scanner? Or are they on your computer? Would love to see your dear one.

The surgery has been scheduled for some time now. I am a bit nervous, to say the least. There has been much preparation for this event and I cannot wait to get this over and done with.......

Well, it's only a couple of years ago that kids started trick-or-treating here in Germany, and many people are yet not ready for it. I only saw a few kids outside who painted their faces, and here at home, the door bell rang only once, but no kid came up to my floor. Growing up we always (and still do) ate wheat bread. My grandma (dads mom) had white bread. When we'd go to her house our treat was a piece of white bread with butter and sugar on it. It's just not the same at home with wheat bread.
Now that grandma is gone I will just have cinnamon toast for a snack. And I don't even really like cinnamon. LOL
