Phreeky - I put a lot of Button\'s slump down to being psyched out by himself and the other drivers. It was his one and only chance to win a WDC and he knew it. Barrichello was the opposite - he had nothing to lose by the end.

Scary think is the popular drift car an s13 has cast iron Uprights. We have played with a set that a bloke came to us adamant he wanted them modified to take another caliper. Bought a few sets of uprights and played with them stress tests, smashing them ect until the weld was not a problem. As a fail safe the mount is also bolted in if the weld does decide to brake which it wont it will be fine.

My XR6T is making some horrible noises from the front suspension (mostly RH) and I'm hoping it is just a balljoint, what brand should I buy? Is genuine Ford the best or maybe TRW?
What about other steering/suspension parts if they are fucked, what brand(s) should I buy?

A mate is thinking of getting a Evo X. Whats the difference between the ralliart lancer and the evo? do they have the same drive line? Are they as harsh as the older evo\'s? Anyone one here have one? Whats it like to live with on a a daily basis? Are the sst boxes able to handle a decent thrashing? Any input welcome, i will pass it on.

Guys, Im wanting to change my harness setup and buy some new ones, 3" ( not sure wich ones yet ) and the mounting points as well. I have a drawing here and would like to see if anyone would see this failing an cams inspection? The (red) would be a decent size round/square bar welded to a plate at least 3mm thick, connected to a part of supras chassis (yellow) that would also be bolted down,...

Guys,
I used to have a table showing how to calc allowable engine capacities in Qld. From memory it was multiplication factors based on chassis type, natural or forced induction and vehicle weight (i think??)
I can no longer find this on my computer or Qld Trans site.
Can anyone show me where to find the current rulings?
Ta.

big news actually. They will buy 75.1% of brawn, and exit McLaren within 2 years! Rosberg is lined up for the Brawn seat, and speculation in media is that ze Germans want Heidfeld in there to complete the german-ness. So where for kimi? And button? It\'s all a bit weird in my opinion, why are merc so keen on going it alone? They get great bang for their buck at McLaren, and this all at a time...

Finished initial porting on this one, just 1 cyl until I\'m happy with it, flow figures on monday. Fitted with 1mm oversize valves. The stock intake ports aren\'t bad, pretty big, but not too big, decent basic short turn shape which is compromised by crap factory machining. Big arse ledges around the seats in the chamber on both intake & exhaust. Exhaust ports are fucking shit, disgusting short...

I had a theft from my garage recently, and have Shannons Home & Contents cover with the free Enthusiast Cover. I thought people might be interested to know how the claim was settled. 1. Noticed theft on Saturday night. One wheel was stolen from one set, three wheels stolen from another set. Argh! 2. Contacted Shannons Monday mid-morning. Girl quite rude and a little accusatory but we got to the ...

Which resulted in this
its a very LONG car. I cant imagine it being terribly agile, not that it was build for mt Akina. but to me Porsche could surley have built a better looking 4 seater without watching Flight of the Navigator for inspiration.
Anyone had a sit or a drive of one?

I thought I'd start a thread on handy weight reduction tips. I think I sometimes forget that weight is probably the number one hurdle stopping our cars going faster - stupid gravity. I want my car to go faster but I don't want to spend shiploads of buckx doing it.
I am willing to spend some money; spare wheel is a full-sized mag to start with, so I might try and find one of those space ...
