The leading causes of problems IMO are: lack of lubrication, running worn out springs, bad magazines, poorly setup extractors, "tabletop gunsmiths" with dremels messing with stuff they don't understand, and just poorly made pistols. If you want a cheap 1911 that runs, get a RIA, or SA GI or Milspec. They work, and the service is there if they don't. Additionally, the 1911 runs best in 5" steel framed...

I went to Sportsmen's Supply in Butler today to ogle at the weaponry. Oh, baby. They had loads of EBRs, including AR-15 .22s from S&W and Colt. They had ARs, WASRs, and 556s. Plenty of great rifles and shotties. Lots and lots of pistols. Lots of incredibly sexy Springfield Arms 1911s and Some gorgeous Kimber 1911s. I made sure to wipe the drool of the cases. I liked this one...if only, if only: Kimber Covert with Crimson Trace...

I'll be there after 9. Hopefully, I can bring my CZ-52 out. Well, I could if I could only get the milsurp case of 7.62x25 open. It's tin sealed with solder and I don't have a soldering iron. Anyone have a Walther PPS? I am thinking of getting one for carry. They come in 40SW now. Anyone interested in 5.45x39 ammo? I'm sending back my AK74 to Century, and I'm getting "store credit" in return...

I bought an ugly Glock . I was banging around my kimber to much to carry every day ( http://forum.pafoa.org/gun-pictures-...ber-owner.h tml (New Kimber owner) ). I went and looked at subcompact 9mm for every day CC. The Glock 26 I liked the best. I'm still no Glock fanboy, but may give them a second look now

Hmmm...a policy for a family of four would cost me (if purchased on my own) around $15,000. So why are we "reforming" healthcare? Sounds like it's just the control factor to me!

I have a 24/7 OSS (same thing I think, except it has a 5" barrel). Around 700 rounds through it no major problems. Only thing was when I first shot it, each of the 3 mags needed to be broken in as there was a few jams on each one with the last round. Might be something to do with the springs because it's damn near impossible to get the last round in. Runs perfectly fine now, and pretty accurate ...
