Blocking Calls on Spring using...

The Pre does not have the function to block calls. A work around is to have an mp3 created that has no sound and use that as the ringtone for that number. I also talked to a coworker here and he states that Sprint can block calls. I would suggest that you talk to Sprint again and see if they are willing to do what you request.

4.2 would be my selection for anyone using Windows XP. My desktop computer is running XP MC and works fine with my TX and Centro. If you have Server edition, it is not supported. That is probably why you are getting the "Blue Screen Of Death". There is no version that is compatible with Server editions of Windows. Do you have another PC with Standard Windows XP? You need to use a Windows version that is not Tablet or Server edition.

Hello nanabits, If you are using a 64-bit operating system on your PC, then the odds of syncing to your m505 are not good. If you are running a 32-bit operating system, you may be able to get Palm Desktop 4.1.4 to work for you. As far as I know, Palm has so immediate plans to provide official support for Windows 7. Assuming the Windows 7 desktop is a 32 bit there is not much of a reason that the drivers would not install. All driver related issues that I've seen crop up are due to the OS being 64 bit. Palm does manufacture any any drivers for a 64 bit variant thus it won't work through USB. Many thanks. I will try your suggestions and let you know whether it solves the problem. I'll probably wait until my tech savvy son is available to help me do it correctly. It must be the software since the problem occurs on both mac and the two pc computers I have used to synch in the past with other palms.

This is a progress report. I know have one Palm that synchronizes, at least it pretends to. The desktop screen shows that the equipment is updating one file at a time (16 of them including Address, Memo pad, etc), there is a message that the sync was successful, the log says everything is okay. I did another hard reset. The email program seems to be working. Also got a new battery. That fixed the meter problem. Who knew a battery could go "bad" and still power the device for hours? But now, after syncing with Outlook, I have double entries in my contacts and calendar, but everything is offset by an hour... So, I guess I'm ready to get my "old" setting back. Anything specific...

You can try an uninstall and reinstall of Palm Desktop software but the version that is supported and works is Palm Desktop 6.2. If I may ask did you try this version? If so what happened to where you installed version 4.1.4?

Are you files being placed on the storage card? If so do you have this setting checked? Start-->Settings-->System-->Encryption-->Encrypt files when placed on a storage card

I used to have a similar, maybe the same, problem with an 800w. The problem was trying to sync to two PC's in the hope of keeping Outlook syncd on both. It was suggested to stop syncing notes but I just gave up on using ActiveSync on two PCs for Outlook. I now use it just for "normal files" with the phone and use a Zire 31 to keep Outlook syncd.

Did you after the hard reset sync again ? If so, you most likely restored some corrupt preferences. Can you try this: - hard reset - locate backup folder under palm desktop folder tree - rename to backup_old - sync, select old id. If you have all your data backed up in palm desktop, soft reset the Treo and try to sync again. If that doesn't work, you can try a hard reset to resolve the issue. Most likely you can run the latest version. Click the Support link at the top of this page, go to Phones > Centro > Verizon > Downloads > Bonus Software > Palm Versamail Oh wait, the Bonus Software links recently stopped working. Not sure what is going on with that server.
