You are doing nothing wrong, the files are not seen correctly due to they are from a windows version of the Palm Desktop software. Unfortunately there is no conversation to gather all your data and migrate from the PC to the Mac system.

JustMeOutHere, Is all your data intact on the handheld? If it still is, you will need to "clean" uninstall Palm desktop and re-install. I would install 4.1.4e instead of 6.2. 6.2 has reported data loss issues. Here are the instructions for the clean uninstall on Vista. During the install, do not sync and finish the install. After the install, change the hotsync conduits to handheld overwrites desktop and sync. You...

Been thinking about this topic all weekend, obviously, and I've thought of something that might be an option. Google email IS set up on the phone as an IMAP/syncing mail solution, and a google email account can be set up to pull your email from another server. You could set up your "normal" email account on your phone and set it to manual (so that you're not pulling email from the POP server, but can still send email...

Thanks for participating and I appreciate the position you are put in. Since you have brought up the fact that people tend to post to the forums when they are dissatisfied, It would be helpful if someone could show some posts where people were unhappy that the e-mail client did not behave as a POP client prior to the 1.3.1 update. And please, I just don't recall the e-mail being being referenced as a POP client prior to the update. ...

Thanks for the link. I got the syncus and username programs. Both should do the trick. I havent installed any yet. I want to ensure I have backup program running on my TX so I got the trial version of Backup Man. Its full functional for a week but when I back up to test it it works fine. A day after I tried to test the restore function its recommending me to do a hard boot before restoration. Of course I wont. Just thinking if its normal to...

We are trying to collect data for all customers that are having issues related to pairing their Palm Pre to car kits, however this data is spread among tons of threads and many different boards. To resolve this we would like to consolidate this list down to one board and tell you up front what information we need. If you are having issues around using Bluetooth with your Car Kit please ...

Since your 650 cannot use Wifi (unless you can find an old, no-longer made device called an "Enfora Sled"), your only options are BlueTooth & IrDA. Infra-red (IrDA) is the slowest. I've not personally used this setup, so I can't give any recommendations. I have seen a few posts recommending IOGear products at the top of this section in the "sticky" threads, but the one you linked ...

Lets check your conduit settings. Right click the hotsync icon next to your clock in the bottom right corner. Then got to settings, then click on applications. Once there click on datebook and then configure. If it is setup as desktop overwrites handheld we need to change that to sync the files. Then check the default box and then done. Try to sync again after you delete another calendar...

I'm having the same problem. The same ringers / tones I used prior to the 1.3.1 update are now chopping halfway through. It seems to happen with tones that are under 10 seconds are so, but again, these tones worked FINE prior to the 1.3.1 update. PLEASE FIX PALM!

Sounds like you have a computer that is running Windows 7 64bit. Palm currently only has 32bit drivers developed. Your only means of possible synchronization is either via WiFi or through Bluetooth. You can find two stickied threads atop this article that will help you through that process.

Hello chuckrich and welcome to the Palm forums. You can only sync to one personal information manager (PIM) at a time. That means you must choose to sync with Palm Desktop or with the Apple iCal and Address Book applications. If you enable iSync and sync data to iCal and the Address Book, data entered in the Palm Desktop application will no longer be transferred to the Palm. So, to answer your...

Have you checked to see what setting the screen brightness is? IIRC, there is a tiny "sun" icon on the writing area of the IIIc to change the brightness. WyreNut

It will ask for the Passkey but you do not have to put anything in it. Try just clicking the ok, next or done on that screen and see what happens.

While it's true that Yahoo charges for true "POP3" email, their free web-based email works easily with a TX! The default home page for Blazer has a link to "Yahoo Mail" right on it: http://mobile.palm.com/us/ If you're referring to VersaMail access, that's a different story. WyreNut
