So it's ridiculous to me that anyone would get offended by "Happy Holidays", when the holidays naturally include Christmas! As for the issue of non-Christians taking the Christmas holiday off, or getting paid for it. 1. Not all have the option of working that day, and...

Far too much emphasis is being placed on being politically correct. If someone wishes you a Merry Christmas it is nothing to get offended about. Take it for what it was meant to be which is a seasonal greeting wishing you happiness.

Wishing a Merry Christmas to an atheist is no more intolerant than wishing them a Happy Thanksgiving or Happy New Year - it is not at all intolerant in any of these cases - it is a wish for them to enjoy a legal, federal holiday in the country in which they live. Now repeat after me Mr. Vreeland, "M-E-R- R-Y C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S !" Now see, that wasn't so difficult.

Is there actually anyone left who doesnt already know about winter solstice/yuletide and the Pagan origins? The report contains an easy to follow and quite comprehensive account of the Pagan significance to this time of year, but how many more do we need?
