I bought SPORE for 35 pounds and got home to my newly made PC. installing the game getting exited over 4+ years of waiting for this game. Click on the desktop shortcut and.... "Could not create the graphics device directx is not avalible 1002" i have my Direct X up to date and Nvidia drivers and all that like any other PC gamer but am shocked about this claim of my DX not avalible....

It's finally here!!! .. well almost. I can't believe it! I was wondering around town the other week and saw a coming soon box for Spore! The Creature Creator has been available to buy (or download a trial for free) for quite a while but I didn't think the game was coming so quickly. It's out on September 5th and the latest videos I have seen of it look very promising and ...

If you've ignored the title and read the spoilers, don't say I didn't warn you! Ok, to start off.... Just got into Cordon, but I'm by the Army base and can't get out without being killed! Any ideas?! Is there another way into Cordon!? _________________ Q6600, 4gb RAM, Geforce GTX 260, Seasonic M12-600, Samsung 226BW, Ubuntu 8.04 & Vista x64 NOT a mac user!

I read about this a while ago - it looks interesting. Making it easy to find should be easy enough. How many people here don't use Google as there main search page, (or even there home page)? Just a single line of text should do the trick. _________________ Sorry I'll behave now. Promise jonbwfc wrote: Oh, and I know I'm getting a little PG, but i before e ...

I have an PCI ATI Radeon 9600XT in my 4 year old Vaio Desktop PCV-RS604 which seems close to biting the dust (cooling fan detached) and also can't cope with new games (eg Company of Heros). I want to replace it with something that can cope with moderate gaming (COH suggests min 256mb NVidia Geforce 6800 series or better). I don't have much info about my motherboard but if it supports PCI, ...

Is that acceptable? What...

6 days untill they do the experiement at CERN to try and find the Higgs Boson. Personnally I can't wait. I find particle physics so interesting, just a shame I'm not quite good enough to do all the maths and stuff (got a E in particl Physics module at A-level). So, what do you think its going to be, a day that will turn science on its head and astound everyone. Or, do you ...

Given the number of people trying to lose a spot of weight (and Mark's suggestion), and on the basis that misery loves company, here is the meal thread. For those up for it, post everything you have eaten in the day, and any exercise done. _________________ http://www.thecomputertailor.co.uk - Bespoke computer systems.
