Its Web-browsing vulpine sibling may get all the attention, but Mozilla's other product, the Thunderbird open-source e-mail client, has its own devout following, and has now taken flight with a new version. Thunderbird 2 was strictly for power users, but version 3 changes all that. It's as simple as pie, having cut down on the number of toolbar options and simplified mail account setup. It also adds tabs and archiving. Based on the...

Hi RJ, My guess is that it's a registry issue. If we came up with an update to ClockRack what new features would you want? What would you want that the Windows built-in clock doesn't already have? Tim

You might want to see the instructions HERE for positioning your router optimally. First and foremost, don't settle prematurely on a location for the wireless access point or router. Experiment; try placing the device in several different promising locations. While trial-and-error may not be the most scientific way to find a good spot for your equipment, it is often the only practical way to assure the best possible Wi-Fi performance....

Now when I make an attempt to I get a message that reads DCIM is not accessible The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable . What happened? What can I do to fix this? Now I'm just guessing here, but it sounds like the card's directory may be corrupted or unreadable (sorry, had to do it). I wouldn't fixate too much on what happened, but more on what can you do to recover your files. First, try the card in...

On Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, I've recently gone back to using Thunderbird 3.0 instead of Apple Mail. This is because my main email account is through Google Apps/Gmail, and I think Thunderbird is the best stand-alone desktop client for Gmail over IMAP, period. Mozilla Messaging "gets" Gmail and provides a lot of features in Thunderbird that integrate with Gmail and support its features quite ...

One trick I've used to clear dried out and clogged printheads is a syringe and alcohol. You can inject alcohol from both directions and let it set for a while to free up the clogs. The syringe will also let you put the alcohol under some pressure to help clear out the printhead. One caution is to use safety glasses when doing this as sometimes the clogs will be ejected with force and it's no ...

You hit the nail on the head in the article " The Complicated Case of magicJack" . Every time I use MJ its like playing Russian Roulette. On every call I usually hit moments of dead space -- no disconnect -- just nothing and then it comes back. I use the old excuse "Sorry my cell is just breaking up -- bad signal". And you are so right about their hiding their Corporate info, and lack of ...

I installed the utility, rebooted and tried it on 2 different days. Every time I get the same error: " Error. The domain name specified does not appear to exist or the port specified is invalid. ". I am running this on a corporate network.
Any ideas to get this to work?

I would like to pass along an additional rule of thumb on screen size. Just multiply the screen diagonal dimension of a 4:3 "standard" TV screen by 1.22 to get the equivalent vertical screen size on a 16:9 HDTV. For example, a 36" 4:3 CRT would have the same vertical picture size on a 36" X 1.22 = 43.92" HDTV. (The buyer will need to choose the nearest available screen size within his budget; ...

Hi :
IF I had a question like yours, I would start on the "other firewalls" forum on the Wilders Security Forums, specifically at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f= 31 . Look through the Threads there and/or use the "Search" Feature there and IF neither provide Info you need, Register there and start a Thread of your own .

my real world transfer speeds are about 10mb\sec and want to get it faster. thanks! if your transfer rates are 10Mb/s (10 MegaBITS per second), then you've got a USB 1.1 connection going on somewhere. Either your (1) USB drive is 1.1 or (2) the mobo connector is USB 1.1. If your USB drive is 1.1, it would be cheaper to buy a newer USB 2.0 drive and just transfer all your info to the new ...

It would help if you told us the make and model of your laptop, and what OS it's running? I don't know why Device Manager is identifying the drive as a " SCSI Disk Device". It most certainly is not. And yes, it's most assuredly a 2 . 5 inch model.
The problem is most new laptops come with SATA drives. So no one still makes the older PATA types (formerly called IDE or just ...

Really, Jaime, I am confused. You blame the Redfly for not giving full 800x480 resolution, yet you confess that the BB is only providing 480-by-360. (I imagine Celio would love to magically expand the rez on the BB, if RIM provided that support as did Microsoft.) You blame the Redfly because onscreen items aren't active for the cursor--maybe if the BB supported that. as it should external ...
