I have never used it, nor things like it. However, i would not trust it, at all. The registry isn't as fragile now as it was in the 95/98 days, but it's still pretty easy to destroy it. Once that happens, you have issues.

Some effects are nice on single player as they do make the game look nicer even if they make things not look as nice. I remember when Plenty of people played CS at really really low resolutions because they claimed it made the head hitboxes bigger or something like that.

I dunno. I don't like Google backing up everything in the cloud, nothing saved locally. No current support for 3rd party non-web based apps. Seems like a LiveCD running Google Chrome in F11 fullscreen. Thoroughly disappointed so far. Would love to get it running in a VM (they said it's possible) but i have no idea how to get the code and compile it and run it :/.

less cunning, more constitution. It seems to me like unlocking the persuade/intimidate upgrades has more bearing on the success of each than what the cunning rating does.

i7 920 has hyper-threading. x58 boards can be had pretty cheap and will support i9 next year (no cold bug? OOOO) Hyper-threading will help in encoding, although at that low a resolution you can probably get by with ATI/nVidia encoding options (GPU based and usually faster) and not be annoyed with the crap quality For watching movies, I would not invest in either ...

wasn't there a thing a while ago where on of the studios tried raising the new game "slandered" price and failed. I could understand higher priced games for collectors items or even a poster. Most of them you are lucky to get a booklet with more then 3 pages. "Forty dollars a month to play a FPS is a drop in the bucket! So just lube up and look happy!" Any month price for...

If those are the hard specs, then all I have to say is, "No Thanks." I'll just continue using my 5870 and wait until Next year's new models. I am not interested in an "X2 type" of card that cannot at least match a pair of 5870s in Xfire.

Short stroking is pretty silly, unless you are 100% sure that the drive(s) won't be accessing anything on the second partition. Yes, it looks better in benchmarks, but you are making the heads travel that much farther in real world use.
