Hello, I disabled the Firewall component for now. I read/heard that if I allow anti-attack features, e.g. block port scans, that my router from then on will forward such things to the software firewall since it 'wants' to deal with it. Is this true ? When I had the firewall activated, it reported port scans from time to time, something which the router should actually block. ...

I believe OP Pro 2009 ver 6.5.xxxx is not performing the 2 scheduled spyware scans established in the Schedule & Profiles settings area. Both are quick scans . One is supposed to happen after a DB update, the other daily at 10:00 am. I base my observation on the fact that the both the Product Internal Events & the Anti-Spyware logs have not shown these scheduled scans for the past ...

Does DNS cache plugin check that incoming responses are from the real DNS server? Does it randomise the transaction ID? I know that it randomises the UDP local port number (which is more than Microsoft's did ). I would rather trust Agnitum than Microsoft to get this important feature right. Shame that Agnitum have dropped the feature. It is a rather important one and better not to be ...

See this thread on Mushkin's forum, as I tried to track down the source of random BSOD's. I have an Epox nForce3 motherboard and an AMD Opteron 165 dual-core, using the recommended older set of drivers, nForce_6.53_remix, from The Guru of 3D website (consensus is these are the best for minimizing any potential nforce driver related problems), but I've also tried the official nForce 5.10 and 5....

Sorry, but the Spam Terrier isn't very helpful. For example: I have made a black list of words, such as "Hilton" valid for all fields. But if it is part of the subject, the Spam Terrier doesn't detect it. Another example. Spam frequently contains sentences copied from newspapers, normal texts, longer than the spam text and always written in very small letters. Then the filter tells me that it is...
