Hi, I have met the same problem some days before. I found a good tool called Advanced Outlook Repair. You can download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe . I think it is a useful repair tool for you. It is easy to recover your PST file by using its wizard. It is a powerful tool to recover messages, folders and other objects from corrupt or damaged Microsoft Outlook PST files. Detailed information about Advanced...

The correct way is to move the . pst file. It contains all pertinent
information. I personally place the pst in a folder under (My) Documents so
that it is backed up during my normal back up.

Version of Outlook?
How did you configure your conversation view?
It does not display it for me in Outlook 2007 nor in Outlook 2010.
Make sure you set your view to Sort By Date and to Arrange By Conversation.

Uninstall your Anti Virus and then re-install it without the email
integration(scanning) option. Turning off the scanning does not work usually. You
need to turn it off as I posted

Uninstall the Trial together with its Activation Assistant, then rebooting,
prior to installing a retail version of Office does not remove data.
If for some odd reason the Outlook data file isnt reconnected on
installation it is a simple matter to reconnect it
