Amy, I am thinking of being a real rebel and serving ham for Thanksgiving dinner this year. We are celebrating with our kids on Saturday and they will have already had a turkey dinner on Thursday. I will have to run the idea by them and see if it is too radical.

Well, there may not be turkey on my Thanksgiving table this year, but you can bet there won't be tofu either!! I have tried those fake turkey (chicken, pork, hot dog, etc.) products and all I will say is no thanks! Neither the taste or the texture is even close to the real thing.

Interesting. I wonder how the animal testing is going (went?). Edited to add: I did some searching and there is no more recent information that I could find.

Becky Hope your cousin does alright with the surgery and I hope your mom is doing ok.  You've talked a little bit about her on the board, if I remember right she has advanced osteoporosis.  Does she take anything for that or is there anything she does or can do about it? See you when you get back!
