I'm a defenceman (I'll give MPMTL the Canadien spelling) and I still play ice hockey now, played club hockey in college (against other universities, but not D-I, etc). I see nothing wrong with this hit whatsoever. I've been hit (probably not quite this hard) on similar plays as this and I usually want to kill my goalie for setting me up to get crushed. I like showing it: at higher stackes I look more like a fish (since everyone else is hiding it) and at lower stakes it can intimidate some opponents. I think its best to look like the opposite of the majority
