Current Wars Morally Reprehensible?
Published (2009-11-25 15:10:00)
I wouldn't say Reprehensible myself. War is never a great thing in and of itself. It has to be balanced against the cost of not going to war. You never know what those costs are exactly but you have to try and judge none the less. I opposed the Iraq war but not the war in Afghanistan. The Taliban were refusing to allow us to go after the folks that were responsible for a major terrorist attack, and were themselves causing mayhem in their...

The Jehovah's Witnesses also do this stuff.
I don't approve of proselytization. I think that it is one of the most counterproductive and destructive things that we as Christians do. It rarely serves the purpose of creating lasting and meaningful conversions, and it mostly just puts a bad taste in people's mouths. People that don't come to the faith of their own accord aren't going to come ...

As far as Communism goes, it is a brutal, totalitarian system which has been responsible for the deaths of more people than Nazi Germany.
Socialism, while not as bad, has also had its complaints. Healthcare quality, for instance, has been heavily criticized in socialist countries.

Generally I am for putting people on trial. We have a justice system for a reason, to deliver justice.
America is trying to live down a history of being unjust in its foreign affairs as of late. Obama likely wants to make a show of the fact that we treat people fairly and justly no matter who they are or what they are said to have done. Also by making it an open trial everyone can see that ...

You can't have Christianity if he's stuck to a cross. You have to let him die so he can be resurrected and thus cooler than the next god whom is just a god.....and knows nothing of what it is to be a man....even though that God knows everything.

Even as an Agnostic, I agree that Christians (that is, followers of Ieshua the Nazerine) are hypocrites to preach against Homosexuality yet in the same breath justify aggressive wars.
However, I do personally beleive in a Just War Theory. That is, in direct defense against aggression. This springs from the natural self-preservation instinct and the legal right to self-defense.

Sorry but money is value. Money is simply an arbitrary means of representing value. It is an economic unit of measurement. Traditionaly money is based on the value of a good.
Gold in early America, rice in ancient Japan etc...
The problem with such systems is that not all goods are similar. Rice and gold are very different and have different problems as currency. Gold is too illiquid...

I favor abortion rights for the following reason:
While I may concede that an unborn child is life, a Woman (much like any person) has a right to her own body as absolute property.
Now, if somone is trespassing on my property I have the right to remove them, by force if necessary.
The same should apply here.
However, I am personally against abortion even if I support it's ...

It's a valid position to hold because people are good without religion and people are bad with religion. Thus while religion can help people be better or keep their "bad side" in check, people don't need religion to be good at all.
The overwhelming evidence of common sense and respect blow religion away and prove that religion is just a vestige of the old "I can't win so I will scare the ...

The short of it is you don't know enough about evolution. Some of your assumptions are in error which is why you find fault in them.
Its like saying.. "this 1+1=3 thing doesn't make sense, those mathematicians are out of their minds."
Evolution is about survival, not really of the fittest, but of those sufficiently fit. Why are apes still apes and not super apes? Because apes are good ...

Your tone need work. What do you use for a mic and amp? What technique do you use to mic? Would you like some help in that area?
On to what you really give a flip about....the playing. Not bad. I like how you kept the ideas understated and didn't turn it into a wankfest.
Be careful on the bends. You want to be accurate when you bend.
