Bonuses are the key. Make sure you understand the Ts&Cs of the place you are playing. Do the maths. Start with small bets (although it will take longer). Streaks can happen in either direction so don't get carried away with a big upwards streak and don't get disheartened by a downward one. Don't play until you understand the maths and why this works.

Played here last week as they've just lifted their UK restriction. Bonus added instantly on deposit, software reasonably quick if a little jerky at times, couldn't find anywhere to check wagering, but their online support was helpful and happy to check this for me. Most of the Poker bonuses I have looked into give you bonus based on the amount of rake (the casino's deduction from the pot, or tournament entry fees) that you have contributed. In this way the Poker sites never lose money paying bonuses To make any money you would need to be doing a little better than breaking even at the poker itself, as you will not get all of the rake you have paid out back...

Way to go Obama! I have been stuck on a plane for hours waiting to fly to London in the past! There is noting worse that little kids sitting behind you freaking out!
