depends on which seal there using, thieve changed a few times. My 2001 has a special seal, that I couldn't find any were else,I searched all the mfg.Mine has a stainless race/sleeve that the seal rides on.if your on the side of the road if your haven't bought spares you'll have to take off the sleeve and put a regular seal on it. I'm thinking its a double lip seal.I have pictures I just redid all mine brakes and every...

I tell you what.....I would put that Hustler against anything around the dock. It is up there with the best docking boat I have ever driven. It is amazing how well it docks. I can tell that you haven't driven a boat with Arneson's, because if you would have, you wouldn't say that. I was really impressed. You can make it do whatever you want. I don't know if it is because the props are so far back or what. What I do know is...

Keep in mind - Your boat will run faster in 3 foot waves than in calm water - You have a good shot of tapping 75 with 525HP. I am guessing you'll need to spin 4 blade 24's but some of the bullet guys probably have a much better clue. If you have 550 HP I think you could top 75 fairly consistently.

Some of the other guys can keep me honest here but here's what I have gatherd.
1999/2000-2001: few (not sure how many) single engine models made with race setup and no cabin. Were oringinally setup either hp500's or innovative 496 motors from what I can tell because of the engine restriction in that class of racing.

Do your cam's require a bronze gear???? They will wear out pretty fast. I think comp cams makes a composite one that is supposed to last longer.

Turn key.... that is funny. I ran a side mount 2.3l whipple. It was ok for me but took some tuning and staying on top of. Also very rough on the drives if you aren't careful

I ran a lh b1 30p and didn't notice any difference from the same prop rh other than the boat listed to the starboard instead of the port. It was also before my blueprinting.

Hey dnebo,
Boat Me didn't explain his post, so I didn't know if you knew the story. It affected the charity for the kids and the fact that the lawsuits shut down SOTW. That annual PR raised thousands foe the local charity plus all the boater's would take the kids out on rides before the event.
Personally, I agree that NO amount of money will comfort a loss. It just really sucks that ...
