Philips P5000 series
Published (2009-11-08 03:54:00)
Hi Steve - googling:- philips +p5000 +"word processor" produced around 250 hits. I did not delve deeper, but some appeared to shed more light on the machine concerned. Give thought to converting any of its documents that might be required in the future, to a more modern format. Regards - Mike Edited by Mike Newcomb - Yesterday at 3:56am

Philips P5000 series
Published (2009-11-07 10:41:00)
I have just signed up to this forum as I am hoping someone here can shed some light on the Philips P5000 series of computers. My grandparents have one of these and a daisywheel printer, both are in fully working order. I am trying to determine exactly which one of the series it is and find some information about it. This site was the only place on the whole of the WWW that I could find anything about them!...

I am in need of any information on the above mentioned 1980s laptop. The machine is in very good condition, complete with battery (no charge) but no power lead and a DC IN socket that I do not recognise. I would appreciate any help that would enable me to get this laptop up and running again.
