I am sitting here stuffing as much salad into my face as I possibly can b/c I was out numbered and hubbie is bringing home pizza I figure the fuller I am, the less tempted I will be to gorge myself. I'll allow myself 1 SMALL piece. I looked online and 1 piece is 350cals. I put 1/2 a small ckn breast and a handful of mixed nuts on my salad and fig balsamic dressing so it's probably around 200cals... half a piece of pizza will be just...

Well I never saw this post the first time around, but here's my advice: Ditch the hydroxycut. Start counting your calories and making sure you're getting a proper balance of nutrients. I'd recommend about 40% carbs / 35% protein / 25% fat . You should be aiming for about 1g of protein per...

I'm new and re-starting @ 209. I've lost enough to start gathering my fat clothes to give to Goodwill. The last time I lost weight I kept my clothes - three sizes worth. And then I had to start going into those clothes, one size at a time. This time the big sizes are going to Goodwill. Knowing I don't have them to fall back on should help if the current size gets a little snug.

Hello all,
My name is Monica and I have struggled with my weight since I was 7 years old. I am 5'4, 126 lbs, a size 8, and have a very small frame. I store most all my excess fat in my midsection. My waist to hip ration is .81, which means I am at high risk for diabetes and other illnesses I don't want! I think I hide my weight well somehow...it must be becasue I have a very, very ...

I could not agree more with you. Stress , fatigue take a toll upon one's health, so badly that it cannot even be measured accurately by scientific studies on human beings. Excess stress , releases greater amount of cortisol hormone and since there are four times the number of cortisol receptors than elsewhere in the body , fat increases in our abdomen. Cortisol mainly promotes fat storage...

11. Count to 100
These days, everything from potato chips to yogurt to ice cream is being rolled out in 100-calorie snack sizes. "You may have to pay more than if you bought an economy size bag, but the smaller portions mean you'll end up eating less," says Barbara Rolls, PhD, a professor of nutritional sciences at Pennsylvania State University.

If I didn't look twice, i would've thought it was my post I was reading!!! I was in exactly the same place as you a couple of weeks ago. And to make it just a bit worse, my work aids us to put on weight. The cafetteria is always filled with cakes, cookies, sweets, you name it! It took 3 weeks of eating everything that was not on the plan to make me realise that I can't keep doing it anymore. I ...
