Is it a good idea to buy a netbook

Yes they are good for most of your needs. The main one that concerns me is Photoshop. Not that it cannot do but it will take more time than some like. So you decide. On optical drive? As long as you accept external not an issue? They are inexpensive is that the draw? Mobility? Netbooks do offer both. As a tool they are a worthwhile choice. They are what they are. They even tempt me!

I was a little confused by those you wrote above, i am not sure i inderstood the whole message, i will explain my mind. -Firstly, you mentioned about serious overclocking. What's the relation between OC and ram manufacturers or ram GB's upgrade. In some way you can say i have overclocked the pc by replacing the T9400 with a T9900. -Secondly, i confused in the CL6 and CL5 field, did not understood completely which between patriot and...

I doubt that you can get a netbook with a built-in optical drive due to its form and portability.
The current netbooks that use nVidia Ion are, according to nVidia:
. ASUS Eee PCâ„¢ 1201N
. HP® Mini 311
. Lenovo IdeaPad S12
. Samsung N510

D900 supported up to the 7950. As far as where to get them... have you asked Hypersonic? If not them have you tried Clevo's US service center?

Go to the main page of HP, choose configuration on your model and it will tell the different CPUs that you can pop in.
I don't believe that you can swap out GPU on HP machines without replacing the motherboard. As far as swapping out the board with another "model", it can be tricky and many times not worth the effort. Might as well getting another notebook altogether.

OK where to start? You want a 13 or 14 but GPU's not good enough. XPS Studio 13 has 9500m scores about 6000 3DMark06. 14's some Asus have HD4670. Got to be honest these are good.
The DeLL has LED oh and just for the record LED are LCD. What I think you mean is LED vs CCFL.

It has been reported that this happens now and then with W7 chkdsk utility. And it can happen on any notebook brands.
My take - W7 has a bug!
They are suggestions floating out there about registry manipulation so that W7 does not check for this process at start up and bla bla, but the work-around is either to boot up from an installation CD/DVD and perform the chkdsk and run the chkdsk ...
