Confused a little bit about that, plus I didn't get my order cancelled like some other people. I think they'll be pushing my order weekly until they finally get it right,...

Everything seems to go ok, until I rebooted the system and upon loading, it defaults to the recovery process and then goes into an ERROR screen (it seems to be trying to search for the C:/recovery.bat file which obviously isn't there anymore, since the drive was formatted to install Win7). It looks like I already have the latest 206 BIOS, so not quite sure what ...

A clean install will obviously be better (ie. faster) than a upgrade install, but there's nothing inherently wrong with performing an upgrade install. Yes, there's a small chance of an incompatibility that can cause BSODs and other unwanted effects, but don't make it sound like your computer is going to blow up if you attempt an upgrade install.

Lol. Yeah i'm interested in this too. Most 14-inch notebooks have an optical drive though (Acer Timeline 4810t). Even a standard drive would fit here as it isn't really thin per say. You would definitely be able to get a slot-loading one in this chassis. It's thicker then the Macbook it's targeting. But I don't mind the omission at this price. I guess it's the main thing differentiating it ...
