If it does have this feature, you should find it here. Goto Tools>Settings>General>Personalisation>Tones>Say Caller's name

This may sound like a stupid question but couldn't you cut a small gap in the tenting, possibly behind the rear view mirror and attach an external bluetooth GPS in the gap? This would be a nice cheap solution if it worked. I apologise in advance if this suggestion doesn't make sense, i'm not familiar with how the "tenting" works being from an almost sun-less country!

hi Seoup I think it's a whole lot easier and less of a hassle to download an app that lets you play .avi files than it is to convert them. Try it you'll have yourself hours

You mean, a new on-screen keyboard? I'm not sure that the OS allows you to do things like that (as Android does).

Hi wilfridwong, What you can check is, have you selected these applications to start up automatically when you start your pc?(Like Nokia OVI Suite, Nokia OVI Player etc), if yes, you can deselect the options in respective application not to start up automatically when your pc starts up.

not necessarily, it provides you with the list of operators but you can't use all of them, you can only use the provider that you have the sim card for. click on a option from non provider, you should not be able to have any service as your options are dependent on your sim card/opearator/mobile network provider.

When you say "not detecting", do you mean you can't use the card at all or you are missing what used to be on it? Before any software update you should use Nokia PC Suite and back up everything, then run the update, then restore the backup.

Side track here, do you like "Comes With Music"? I happen to like it a lot and hence, I can overlook some of the cons the new touch phones have. I am listening on average 10 to 20 new albums a week.

It is normal for the phone to shut down and restart several times during updating. The PIN code request should not cause an issue, but you could try switching off for the duration of the update.

Yes the lens cover scratches the lens window. Random shutdown for no reason making me miss sooo many calls. Audio quality worse than 5130XM I suggest you wait for the new firmware and buy it then. If you ask me , The 8mp cam does not make much of a difference with all bells and whistle . If you are into touchscreen , GET THE X6.

Never mind - found the solution. Well, in spite of dreading a hard reset I had to do one: it cured my problem. Needless to say you have to do a complete backup of your system. Even so you will have to do some maneuvers to get your system like it was before, but definitely it was worth it.

I suggest you don't use WEP, use WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and use a Pre-shared Key passfrase of 13 digits. Make sure the SSID is visible. In the WLAN accesspoint setup of the phone use Infrastructure (not ad-hoc) and WPA/WPA2. Turn off WPA2 only mode and look at your manual (page 62) to follow the necessery procedures in defining a WLAN AP.

Certain types of heat refletive coating on glass have been known to reflect GPS signal and block it from entering the car. If your car has this glass then you will need to get an external bluetooth GPS receiver with an external antenna outside your car.

You are not meant to be able to turn it off but on some phones, disabling Warning Tones will turn it off. The reason you are not meant to be able to turn it off is because, in some countries, it is now illegal to have a silent camera phone. The sound is to stop some people from using their camera phones to take photos up skirts, in dressing rooms and everywhere else they are not ...

A simple ISO to Quadlock adaptor is all that is needed if there is ign power on your stereo. Before this kit is installed, does your car have aux in? The CK-300 needs an aux in connection for the music output. This type of installation should really be carried out by a professional installer as there are many hidden dangers from installing a car kit.

Try to upgrade your software by using Nokia Software Updater and when it says that your software is up to date, try to install the same software again. Maybe this will help. If not, I suggest contacting Nokia Care.
