1. It can be easily removed and changed. It has to be removed to insert the sim card. 2. Yes. 3. I'm fairly sure it can be on a memory card but not 100% sure. 4. Some formats can, some can't. 5. Yes, by using a program called quickoffice ( www.quickoffice.com ) 6. No, not unless it becomes faulty or if the battery is left out for an extended period. 7. I have seen a video on youtube with this being done, not sure...

Lol - I don't use the dialer for typing text, i just can't do it, the amount I use it is so little I would not have notice if there were kittens on it. ' The whole point is that people expect a phone to be a phone and work like a phone' - amen, like when you answer a call the phone does not crash. When you hang up a call the phone doesn't crash, or the 'swipe to answer call' feature that does not take...

I'm on my second N82 and non of them came with preinstalled n-gage games. Snakes on the 1st one was a stand alone application not an ngage game, if my memory serves me right. I don't think you get preinstalled trial games, you have download them. Lets hear what other N82 owners say about this

The Java virtual machine in this phone doesn't have that much control over the system so it can't be done by any application. You'll have to enlist the help of your network operator for this.

What do you mean by you're not able to find a suitable memory card? If your phone didn't come loaded with a memory card installed, buy one. AFAIK, 5310 supports microSD cards (not sure if it has support for microSDHC). A 2GB microSD card would work fine. Or, do you mean to say that you cannot access the card?

Language packs cant be installed by the users, you have to visit a Nokia care center to install language pack of your desired choice for which u need to shell down some amount.

N900 supports full html view (difference to E75 is that the html view is not with the "attachment" view, means html shows up directly -you only need to tap on the image icon. For Calendar entries the behaviour should be similar to E75. Regards, Tobias

Interesting post Slough, thanks for the update. I really do find myself between a rock and a hard place. I'm still on v12, no indication when v20 will be out for my product code. I was so frustrated at the phone locking up when receiving phone calls - just like you say, slide your finger along the screen to answer, and this just locks up the phone once the call has ended - that I ...

You cannot selectively delete maps. The only option is to delete all maps and then reinstall the ones you want to keep. Nokia have done it this way because all maps are free to download and are updated up to 4 times every year. So everytime you delete all maps and reinstall the maps you want, you are probably updating your maps at the same time.

Sounds like your phone hung for some reason. Happened to mine once or twice as well. As long as it did not become a regular occurence you could leave it. If you wish, you could check for firmware updates and istall if there is one available. http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/d ownload-software/device- software-update

Everything I've read suggests that the UI requires that you use the device in landscape mode nearly all the time, except to actually make and receive calls. That means you can't send text messages in portrait mode. There was some talk that Nokia delayed the response to get feedback from about 300 actual users or so and my hope was that one out of those 300 would have pointed out the ...

Looks like your phone was not meant for the Middle Eastern market. The dealer brought it in from somewhere else and then installed a language pack which contains Arabic. When you updates the firmware, the phone reverted back to its original language. The dealer should have informed you of this because apart from languages, the warranty on the phone is only valid in the region/country it...

You have to define the accesspoint when you search available WLAN networks. Once it's set you can hit the road, Rob.

I think the phone shuts down as gracefully as it would if you'd pressed the power button. It shuts down before the battery is actually totally dead to allow for this. System files shouldn't be affected. Apps might misbehave, but then they should've been written to allow for the possibility that you switched the phone off when they were running.
