Everyone just likes to jump on the 'hate Bush bandwagon' when bad stuff happens, so why?

I've always wondered why do people live in fire danger areas here in southern cal. Knowing these fires and mud slides happens every year and I mean every year? It's always worst for rain,fire,earthquakes same areas, Are they just new to this area or what? Or or they afraid to live on level ground.

My mother was a control freak/battle-axe. At every opportunity she would beat me with a stick or buckle end of large leather belt, breaking the skin. Always when dad was out. Never ever knew why, & only me. Not that I dared to say a lot, so didn`t know why. If you had life like that & could not forget or forgive, would you forgive now that she is weak & old?
