lol i can completely understand why the sox and their fans hate the yankees.they blocked a trade for a-rod only to trade for him themselves and thus far has signed 3 of their franchise players in clemens, boggs, and damon.then swoops in out of nowhere and steals the peice that wouldve assured them theyre w.s spot. yanx sure do have a habit of sticking it to them.lol im still unsure exatly how they pulled the a-rod thing though.

I don't care who recognizes it, I don't. Carl Crawford >>>> Angel Pagan...that's all you need to know...if you have a system that says these two players are equal you know it's garbage... Carl Crawford is an impact player... The Mets told Johan not to play in the WBC, they could have did the same thing to Delgado...Delgado is the best option for the Mets at First Base this off-season...end of...

"Carl Crawford is an impact player..." No argument there. I'd like Crawford over Holliday or Bay (or just about anyone else)

What Mets Autographs do you have?
Published (2009-11-23 05:57:00)
i used to have Ed Kranepool, Jerry Koosman, Kevin Appier, and Jay Payton, but my psychotic ex girlfriend threw them out during an argument. I still have an autographed photo of Cleon Jones catching the final out in the '69 WS.

The defendants in the first bombing of the World Trade Center on February 26, 1993, were tried in downtown Manhattan. All five are serving 240-year sentences. Your post is illogical. Conservative talk radio is bad for your brain.

no ,they can afford to fail again, because our loyal but not very bright fanbase will continue to go to games, park, eat, drink,be merry,go to the met shop, buy lots of official mets wear, and endorse another year of miserable baseball, but wait until next year. There you go storkmantoo you hit the nail right on the head !!

"Reagan would have scored at minimum nine out of 10 and most likely, a perfect 10 for 10." In your dreams, smurf... Maybe it wouldn't even take Mejia? Maybe they'd be so ecstatic to get rid of Burrell they'd do it just for Kunz? Kunz and Kirk Nieuwenhuis?

BTW, Omar loves this guy and has a great relationship with him. Marlins were upset couple years ago when Omar was talking with him before a FLA-NY game.

this will probably not happen and if we get Cabrera we wouldn't be able to sign holliday or bay or lackey however, cabrera would be much easier to get then fieldr, gonzo, halladay -he has off field issues (alchohol) and he has a gigantic contract -solid offensive/defensive player

He's kind of getting old for a bench player. Still, he's better than Cora.

The 2010/11 free agent class is much better than 2009/10. That is the argument for holding powder until then and working the trade market hard and looking for st help now. No one will tolerate mediocrity in 2010, which is why Omar needs to imbestigate some out of the lobby thinking.

So you are actually angry that Beltran is supporting his teammates... Seems like people are just inventing things to be angry at now.

Like so many of us are doing (myself included), stop complaining, and have the guts to do something about it. JUST SAY NO! Give up the overpriced seats. If you must go to CitiDump next season, you can pick-and-choose your games, and wind up with (probably) better seats at a (probably) better price on StubHub...and not be stuck with tickets for games you can't attend.

Wright has had several real strong years, and put up good numbers as recently as '08. Perez was mediocre in '08, and even in '07 showed a lot of red-flag traits. (Walks, hit batters, melting down after an error was committed behind him). Wright hasn't had anywhere near the schizophrenic up-and-down career that Perez has. I have no confidence in Perez whatsoever, wouldn't shock me if he was ...

Any SANE Mets fan who wants to truly win knows this...I personally want one of Sheets or Bedard or Chapman or Harden AND a reliable number 2 such as Halladay, Lackey, or Felix Hernandez....that's the only way the Mets are going to win next year...we need two...

Everyone is kicking this guy to the curb like his $12 mil is nothing... these are the same owners who most likely didnt fire manuel OR omar because they still had years remaining even though they deserved to be. Oliver perez is a NYM starting pitcher, hate it or love it.

That team only has 5 homegrown Mets. Even the Yankees managed to have 12 homegrown players on their expensive roster.

I wish him all the best, but for 2010 at least, I don't think he is the solution for left field, at least not a as a starter. I have been and will continue to advocate signing Mike Cameron to play left field. he won't command a lot of money, but he is a good player with solid defense and some power, which is the best the Mets can do this winter.

you honestly think the Mets will have 3 15 game winners? No. maybe 2 but not 3 especially with Ollie being included in the 3 and to also say he will have a 3.75 ERA, maybe more like 4.75. Francoeur a 25 HR hitter in our ballpark? no, maybe 15-20 HRs. The 2 free agents of the list i would go and get is Holliday and Lackey, i could live with Santos and Thole at C. The Mets MUST dish out the money...
