Also, he runs back and forth along the wall of the cage from which he can see outside. Any idea why he does this? I think he might be hinting at
the longing for a companion, but as I am a first time bird owner I'm afraid that training them would be much too hard when the time comes. Is there any other way to discourage him from doing this?

Hi, I had a baby
cockatiel, and I made a nest for her to nestle in for a few weeks. It worked until she felt better that her mother was no longer around. she also used to sit in her food trowel and eat. So I kind of understand. Try putting a white towel in the corner of the cage. Best regards, Lisa

Hi again Kirakira, This is a common problem usually with older canaries. I actually have a male with this condition. He is now
12 years old and he is doing just fine except for the scaly legs which don't seem to bother him at all. I use Bag Balm on his legs every time I trim his nails and so far so good. Good luck, Marty Quote: Originally Posted by kirakira Does anyone else have a ...

when wonders why the cats which were brought in to
Animal Control by DeSantis were euthanized, despite their healthy, friendly appearance is because DeSantis brought them in saying they were his cats and requested euthanasia. One cannot just pick up or trap a cat, bring it to the kill shelter and request its death. you have to sign a euthanasia request form stating that it is your cat, show i...

Hi Cristina, It looks like you are having your hands full with the new canary. May I ask where did your husband get him from? It seems that he wasn't well taken care of properly because of the multiple problems he is presenting. If it was from a pet shop then
the canary may have air sac mites even though the vet said it was "unremarkable". How can he say that it was "unremarkable" if you ...

Here is what I sent in: I was outraged at the comments Chris Brown made on your show about Pit Bulls and all dogs considering them white man's best friend and not the black man's best friend. This remark is absolutely absurd, idiotic and full of ignorance. A dog is
color blind, which unfortunately many people are not. There are many black people who have dogs and feel that dog is their best ...
