I'm a selective reader _________________ Im inventing a new stat its called GP/BP which means (Good player or Bad player) all you do is look at a players traditional stats.... OBP/SLUG, k's, walks, homers, extra base hits etc, then you watch him in the field and thats how you decide who is good or not, not some system where clear crappy players come out looking like roses. _________________...

I would love to have a second banana to Johan but I am not getting into the Mike Francesa mentality of if we cannot get Halladay this off-season is DOA. _________________ http://thesportsfanvent.blogspot.com/ MyYouTwitFace: The Ultimate Networking Web Site.... Even the Yankees can't wrap another $20 million in their rotation can they? Sabathia ramps up $9 million and they only lose $5.5 million for Petitte and $5 million for Wang... $23m for CC; $16.5m for AJ, $15m for Mo. If they add $16 m for Halladay, then extend him, they'd be $73m for 4 pitchers. The Red Sox need a bat much more, methinks. _________________ A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the...

And funny .. Adam talks about the ridiculous double standard that this country has .. He ended up being on the CBS Early Show .. And they as interviewing him had a clip of him kissing the guy blurred out and then literally 2 seconds later showed a clip of Madonna and Britney slipping tongue in eachother's mouth .. The story shouldn't the 1500+ complaints ABC got about Adam .. It should be about the I bet a crapload more complaints...

Isn't this about the same team Sports Illustrated picked to win the World Series last year? The season was a catastrophe last year. The team wasn't. _________________ I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

I think in this day and age of intricate baseball valuation technique there still has to be a small nod to "go with the guy that produced last season" No pressure on Dessens at that time (late '09), true - but to backwardsassedly toss him out on his entire body of work or his age or his "velocity" after he pitched well for you could be seen as sillly. Haooy TG, all.

Fantastic article (obviously I'm biased). My expectation remains though that the Mets (foolishly, IMO) consider Shoppach too "risky" and will opt for the "known quantity", be it Molina or Rod the Bod. Ugh.

I do wonder why he hasn't been fired. There were times where the Nets clearly go into the playoffs by way of an incredbily weak conference. This team, however, has some serious budding talent but has been incredibly inconsistent. I guess Thorn would rather not shake things up and consider how overly reactionary other NBA GMs are with coahes tenure (I am not sure if I can name half the coaches ...

I work on the architectural side of the construction business.
I left a firm in Pittsburgh in June 2008. I would say that we were nearly completely dead the last 15 months of my time there. It was bad…and as far as I know, things there haven't picked up that much since then.
I started at a new firm in New Jersey in July 2008 and for about 3 months we kept busy with smaller ...

Go with 2 drives rather than one. Two 640gb western digital blue drive
Why all the storage though? Will there be a lot of movies saved on the drive? 1st drive will be your programs and OS. 2nd will be for media storage.

The offseason would become more alluring if the three big players discussed in late July who were not traded -- Toronto 's Roy Halladay, San Diego's Adrian Gonzalez and Seattle's Felix Hernandez -- become fodder again. Halladay, because he is the only one of the trio a year from free agency, is the most likely to be moved.
But outside executives say the Jays can now expect only 60 ...

I wish this team had more patience with him. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they do, if this article has any truth to it.
I don't approve of trading him unless its for a true stud.
Also it sounds a bit confusing to me... are they no longer entertaining the idea of trading him since hes playing? Or, what?
