Hopefully the patch should rebalance the combat but spending the whole time managing heals between the party does rob the game of depth. Ironically I'm acting as a healbot whilst the CPU does all the fun offensive stuff.

Gamtrailers and IGN both have some footage up as well. Looks decent enough, although the pulled out shots (The Hydra shot above) are easier on the eye than the more close shots. Don't care either way, I don't need another excuse to play these games again.

I've little interest in the general multiplayer side of things too. Spec-ops sounds like it will be amazing though and I'm all over that. Anyone got any impressions of that yet?

I agree, good performance today and we definitely deserved a point. It's a shame we didn't have someone like Berbatov or Keane on the end of the move when Rocha put that close range header wide in the second half. A penalty would have been nice too but it's hard enough getting clear cut penalties at OT let alone ones which are open to debate.
Glad to hear Fergie after the match saying that...

The only plus point from the defeat on Sunday was how well Owen Hargreaves played, he will be crucial when it comes to the Champions League and also the big games (against Chelsea, Liverpool & Arsenal) in the Premiership. He is that Gattuso type player (not saying that he is Gattuso) that we have been missing in midfield. For instance if he played against Milan last season I think the spaces ...

I think that toooo ! Generally it was good, but they seemed to show a lot in the first episode though !? The start reminded me of Lost. Just a shame they didn't have a bigger budget for a more epic start. Funny seeing Penny from Lost in this, Joesph Fiennes too. It'll be interesting what the next couple of episodes bring...

That sounds horrific and totally immersion shattering. It's the kind of thing that, if they spring it on you once, you'll be wondering about when the next conversdation / quest is going to unexpectedly do the same thing.
If they pull that reprehensible shit in Mass Effect 2 I will weep blood. Probably literally.

I've been playing Rock Band. I can't drum as much as I'd like because they're so very loud, but a silent guitar means I can play still even when it's late!
On handhelds, I'm playing Jeanne D'Arc. I got it by mistake, but it's brilliant.
Nice to see you're still playing Salad

I read somewhere they finally got rid of the respawning enemies, is this true? Its my major pet peeve of the series. Other than that, can't wait to get stuck into it when it arrives, whenever that is.

Old Shacknews is reporting this........
"Dragon Age RPG franchise will eventually extend its reach to consoles following its PC debut next year, the developer has revealed"
It doesnt EXACTLY says Dragon Age: Origins its says franchise. SOOOOO maybe they are gonna do a console specific version and a seperate PC version, 2 different game set around the same Age of Dragons.

Looked a bit iffy at first, but ends up pretty spot on. You can get the finished jpeg here
Might need to score more goals first

This does sound like a thread that wants to start a fight... and I'm taking the bait
I loved Shenmue because, and it was primarily this reason that I loved it so much, because of it's pace.
It was the perfect bedtime game. I played it for a bit, did what I wanted, talked to who I wanted, worked when I needed to, played around in the arcade and when I happened upon some information that ...

DJ Hero (PS3/360/Wii)
Technically I don't own this yet. DJ Hero arrived in store today & 4 of us stayed after close to play my copy. It will be my copy, I just can't pay for it or take it home until release day. In the meantime I'll have to settle for playing it through the lcd screens at the counter & the store sound system for a couple of ...

Good impressions mate. Do you own it on 360 or PS3 and are the controls configurable?
It's definitely very strange that the reviews for this have been so slow to come out and there's almost no reviews on the major sites a day ahead of its release in America. Very much looking forward to this, though in no rush as we are getting inundated with big releases.

Defeated my second demon last night, a giant Temple Knight. My first, melee focussed attempt was very unsuccessful. Went with ranged attacks the second time, downed him after about 10 minutes. Quite stressful, but fun - I had to play through about 10 minutes of level to get to him (numerous times I might add - it's a run along sime battlements being strafed by a dragon, and my character is a ...

Not being the biggest fan of the genre, or very good at it, Street Fighter and Tekken are generally the only two fighters I ever play, but I have to ask....
Reservations about it being classed as the main mode aside, is the campaign any good? It looks decent enough in the videos ive seen and it might actualy sell me on the game if its more than a mild distraction.
