I am always facinated when I see grown adults behaving like school kids over people they will most likely never meet in real life. The carry on over the young man in this film is unbelievable...I've no idea how many books in the series, but I wonder if it too will lose steam towards the end, as the Harry Potter ones seemed to.

Just tracking Peter. I've got one of the Schindler's, there's been some around lately, wasn't sure about interest, guess for some that result will be a benchmark. (I have no idea of the numbers of that one.) Dracula, great quad, love it, but not enough. As discussed with another member here, the condition of The Man in the White Suit didn't look that good. The one in that sale I want is the Goldfinger double crown,...

J's stage amps were so loud that, even standing 10 feet away, I couldn't hear the drums over the guitar. It's taken me two days to recover my hearing. Which leads me to one of my fave Dinosaur Jr moments... I wonder how all the unsuspecting housewives in the audience felt, sitting through an innocuous taping ofThe Jenny Jones Show, only to get their ears blown out by an impromtu Dinosaur Jr show at the end:

Just got back from the IDFA, International Documentary Fesrtival Amsterdam and saw a lecture by a slightly inebriated Julien Temple as well as a screening of his new picture OIL CITY CONFIDENTIAL, a portrait of pubrocking legends DR. FEELGOOD starring Wilko Johnson to the backdrop of their hometown Canvey Island. Very nice film again from Mr. Temple. I love the way how he uses found footage to support, accentuate or colour statements of the...

Movietone News poster copyright...

Ah, that makes alot of sense, thanks very much Phil. So the poster was printed off in a batch in 1945 with the main story area blank for news stories to be later added. Thanks also for the Lowell Thomas info. I see he narrated the news feature. There is another poster on fleabay without that writing. You are very knowledgeable! Cheers! Steve E

Were there such things as lift posters which were used on the London Underground? That's what I heard they were - no hard evidence just here-say from not a
particularly reliable source.

I'm a big fan of the old-time movie house The Oriental here in Milwaukee, currently owned and operated by Landmark Theatres, which, other than subdiving
the space under the balcony into two additional theatres and replacing the original seats in the main hall (thank God), has done a good job of keeping the
place as it was back in the '20s. They even still play live organ music before the 7:00pm ...

A very nice stock poster, copyrighted in 1945 when it would have been printed. They would most likely have updated the date when a further print run was done.
Excellent score, especially with the Lowell Thomas credit line!

I haven't heard about Disney stopping any auctions lately. They have in the past.I don't know if it was Toy Story specifically but others have been shut
down.
I did hear they were quite interested in getting all their 'Alice in Wonderland' lenticulars back form the theatres.
I would list it.If they stop it they stop it.You still have other avenues.

I have previously compiled a list of US poster sizes and it includes a 40" x 30".
What you have is it a UK quad? (What does a quad mean - it measures 40"x30" and printed in the UK?)
Cheers,
