I have no problem with the camera you used and generally speaking the shots have decent exposures. It looks like the second two had an effect applied either in the camera or in Photoshop. Personally, I’m always fond of the cross-processed film look like shot two has. The third one just looks awful though, really pixelated or something (and I don’t think that is the camera’s fault), the editing looks funky....

1 should have been a vertical not horizontal too much ’negative space’ bright at that which takes away from the viewer’s subject - cute pose. 2 terrible pose period the child being blind folded is not cute 3it might be the best an honest pose with little clutter but your exposure might be off and seems you have a lot of digital noise/artifacts in the capture what iso are you shooting at? use a MUCH lower one. 4...

I think I-Phones are great if you like all the bells and whistles and want to pay that much for a cel service. I also think that they aren’t much in the way of photographic equipment. 1 appears to be fairly nicely composed although I’d crop it so that little tiny piece of sky isn’t in it. I am also a firm believer that, with a few notable exceptions, a slow shutter is required to shoot moving water. Obviously this...

Do you mean in general, or for 120? I’m sure you already know of Kodak BW400CN and Ilford XP2. Unless you’re looking for finer grain, then I agree. I had the same issue, when I was in Colorado. All the color film they had was Portra and Ektar. Never any B&W Though, in San Francisco, they have some Ilford PanF 50 speed that I really want to try.

1. is a little hot. Bring the exposure down just a little and it’s great. 2 and 3 seem to be just a tad soft. 4 is adorable. for a beginner you’re doing really well. the composition is a little centered but overall they’re nice pics. Just shoot a lot and you’ll only get better......and have fun!

There’s always going to be...

i like the selective coloring. the only thing is that the white reflection in the eye is distracting. but it’s still a good shot.

This is sweet!
What ever happened to the Ektar films? It seems that as soon as Kodak came out with a great film, they discontinued it! The Ektar 25 was the best negative film ever made, in my opinion. It had some quirks but nothing that a little experimenting would solve.
Course it’s all mute point now......

Look into a Community College.
That’s where I went (stupid idea, for me), to Colorado’s community college.
