N900 vs. iPhone 3gs

Personally I have become so used to the iPhone's smooth multitouch UI, that it is the benchmark that I compare other phones to. The iPhone's capacitive screen is effortless and intuitive, whereas the N900's resistive screen often requires a stylus and that bugs the hell out of me. Smart money will wait for the N920. To illustrate this, here's a scathing N900 review by a professional Linux developer with a long list of...

so thats pretty much exactly the same amount i use on my E90 and i dont have any games. I guess i paid on total a bit more for those apps because some (like profimail) are not really cheap. But in the end on real usage symbian way or the iphone way is not that really different Except maybe that it is for people a bit easier accessible. But i dont know that, because around me that do use S60 phones are all pretty much tech persons who can find...

nice. is the screen/touch similar to that of the 5800? finger-prints-galore on that handset and it has the film over it which affects the vision of the screen in day-light.

There's actually an ongoing discussion about what to do with command line apps, as having them in the main catalogue will confuse people (and there's likely to be a lot more command line apps than GUI in the short term).

Nice! But the MMU hack is NOT really valid for the UIQ3 devices. But the first parts is. I get around 20-30 fps (rendered 50fps emulated) on my test M600.

I looked at the N900 but for a keyboard fanatic like me, the three rows are just one compromise too many, plus the lack of a tilt screen is also unattractive.

Hi,
recently I sent via bluetooth quite a heavy (1.5 M ppt presentation from my E71 to 9300i to edit it (I find it easier to edit things on S80 as they are more PC-like).
The commie kept opening the file, and finally said: Presentation closed. KERN-EXEC, reason no 3.
Do you guys know what that is?
And why the same presentation (or larger presentations) sent via PC suite...

Hi!
So I just started porting gpfce (fceu optimized with ARM assembler for the GP2x by Notaz and more), yesterday, which is an emulator for the classic NES system.
So far I have something on screen, music playing, but no controls or proper screenhandling implemented. Performancewise I think it will do very good.
This will be an alternative to commercial emus, and of course ...

Hi!
My P990i is rather old now.. some of they keys do not function properyl from time to time.. this is really not very useful
But it seems there is no real alterantive out there? The P1's screen is to small for me..
So, is there a phone available or announced with UIQ (or maybe even S60) that is good successor to my SE P990i ?

GP2Xpectrum v1.7.2 for GP2X ported by Hermes and continued by Metalbrain & Seleuco with patches by kounch & GnoStiC.
TZX support is not at 100% compatability but all valid Z80 files should work.

Well, those who need one-handed portrait web browsing actually don't have to wait for Nokia to add the portrait support to the built-in browser.

yup...that is what happens. after i change the item back to n900 (local) then it reappears on my outlook.
also, if you create an item and have it catagorized under a customized calendar, it will not sync and show on your outlook either. looks like that is a bug as my understanding is that it was supposed to sync if it was local and not sync if it was private
