Mucus plug - at last
Published (2009-11-25 19:36:00)
Hi Claire, I have to call at 7am and they tell me when to come in. It depends upon how many emergencies there have been overnight I suppose. I had a CS with Matilda as my waters broke (well my forewaters leaked a bit) and they only allowed me 48 hours after that. I was induced and had my waters fully broken, but only achieved 3cm. I was already considered high risk due to 4 previous miscarriages and having lupus anticoagulent, the reason for...

Heya all, just thought I'd post a bit more than whatever half-asleep comment I managed to get out on my birth announcement last night LOL Will do a birth story too when I've got a bit more time... She is indeed all "small, and tiny, and warm" just like I wailed after the Pampers ads a few weeks ago! Proper tiny too, I think the midwives must have though I was lying about having had a child I was so cackhanded with this...

Hi hun xxxxxxx Hello hun, its quite normal in the early stages for them to "choke" on the feeding - you don't say if you are bf or ff but if you are breast feeding that at the beginning of the feed the milk can come out quite quickly, if you unlatch her you might be spraying out everywhere (tmi) if you are ff then she might be consuming the milk very quickly becuase she has such a strong suck ...

Oh hunnie i know how you feel! Mine lil one was due yesterday and seems to want to stay in there! Kinda bugged me as my DD was here at 39weeks and 1 day so silly me thought id be the same. Im sure it just means our babies are nice and safe in there, even if we do feel like we are going to pop and walking is a near impossiable task! Im impressed youve got all the decorarting done, we still have ...

Hi, don't be afraid of labour and induction. No-one's going to lie and say it's pleasant, but if it was that bad, we'd never do it again :) Are you open to drugs? Epidural etc? If so, accept an epidural - makes it so much easier. My sister had her 10 lbs 12 ozs boy 5 weeks ago with an epidural and said it was so easy compared to her first birth without one. I had one with my induction with...

Hi Penny,
Oh you poor thing, you sound utterly fed up. I've been highly emotional and crying a lot this week. I'm due today so not actually overdue like you yet. I do hope you have your wee one asap.

No chance!!! NONE of my little ones have liked the basket as newborns and were only contented when being carried or in the sling or on the boob or RIGHT next to mummy!!! I'm a big fan of slings and carrying as baby is happy next to me and you get used to doing things one handed anyway. But rocking is a similar movement and obviously your little one likes the motion so why not if it gives you a ...

Claire, You are not alone. When i was feeling the baby move it totally put me off sex completely and unfortunately, Jess would have her mad wriggle between 10 - 1am while i was pregnant! Now i've given birth, i'm waiting for my bleeding to stop but i have took the plunge & gone back on the pill.
I think i last had sex the same time as you (blush) but although nervous, i'm looking forward to ...
