I'm pretty sure I have Christmas / Disney radar! I was driving into a strip mall last night with my husband and as we passed the doors to a Walgreen's, a lit up Mickey head caught my eye! We went inside and had an employee up on a ladder to find what they had on display because it wasn't with all the other stuff where customers could actually reach. So now I have officially started my Christmas "we aren't going to...

Toocherie prayers are sent out and I will pray for her to get soon. Waes to the Hearts, dropping by and OMG is it a week to Thanksgiving. I need reservations for Christmas and do not know what to do. Maybe Granville as I want a meal that day and Christmas not a buffet. I am going to try hard to get mom to DCA on Thanksgiving. This year is changing so fast and for the better mostly. New foods, new friends (waves), house cleaning, and mom...

Personally, I think it is very important to carefully choose your home resort. For example, if you think you would want to stay at BLT (or other WDW DVC resort) most of the time, buying at GCV may not be your best choice.
I own at SSR and I have not had too many issues getting in at different resorts right at the 7 month mark, although we have not tried to stay at BLT as of yet. However, ...

Personally, I think the week between Christmas and New Years is probably the worst time to go when it comes to crowd level. It tapers off quickly after new years.
This year, we did spring break and it is busy, but if you use a touring plan of sorts, you can still get a lot done. The planning makes all the difference.
Of course if time is factor, and if crowds are an issue, consider ...

You can access the resort wifi by connecting through your internet connection, I have used it many times to work from the resort....I believe that it is free of charge for guests of the hotel.

Well that is a bit of a debate in my house.
I went earned an AOS in Baking and Pastry Arts and my parents paid for the entire thing. My brother dabbled in college and my parents paid for it while he was there.
DH went to a night trade school for 5 years (or was it 4?) and his parents paid for it. Since he started going during high school while also doing vo-tech he does not consider it ...

Also cat related: Henry loved sleeping on the heater vents on the floor, sometimes he would wander over to one and sit and wait for what we called the "heat god."
Now we have a panel furnace, the heat comes out the top. Henry has hauled himself up onto the printer on the desk next to the vent and is experimenting with different ways to knock the heat god down to the floor, where he belongs.
