Fort Hood shootings

This Major Nidal Malik Hasan sent up so many red flags in the last few weeks or possibly a month that it is AMAZING that no one higher up noticed them & so utterlu amazing. He was so far off whack that it is hard to believe if you read some of the media reports about his past to him hauting for a wife that woud pray at least seven times each do to so much more. He turned into a nuthead & even those in the Army (often...

Tire wear

Do you lean that thing? Invest in a track school; that'll give you more even tire wear...and is a heck of a lot of fun, and learning, to boot! Those things are squared off; I'd replace the rear, for sure, before it is completely bald. If it were me, I'd replace both, but then again I tend to use more than the center of a tire.

jclax01 said... I was talking to him today at the hospital. It turns out that the SUV (not truck) just slammed on his brakes on the highway. Not sure if he was following too close or what but according to him he was on the highway, heard the brakes of the SUV slam on and then just jumped on his brakes to try to stop. He then doesn't remember anything after that. He was not cited for anything so far. The way he talked, he believes that...

You should try to talk to some mo-couriers (not their bosses) to get an idea what it's really going to be like.

I wouldn't call a VMax a sportsbike, far from it. It is sort of a cross between a standard and a cruiser and the whole point of owning one is that it accellerates really hard and that makes it fun to ride. And fun is why I ride a bike. Fun comes in different sizes, I have fun on my piddly little 90cc Suzuki, even so, having to hold on tight while the scenery goes all blurry takes some beating. Since...

those old goldwing motors are pretty good. it depends on what they are asking for it. You will probably need a carb job that would cost a couple of hundred bucks to have done if you take it to a dealer. People that buy goldwings rarely do the stuff that would have you concerned about a motorcycle ie, they don't normally race them, most of the miles are highway etc.

Which outsells which on the Car market? I wonder how many people don't ride a motorcycle because they've NEVER used a clutch before. 25 years ago when I was working on a golf course every summer we had to introduce kids to a clutch. Couldn't have gotten any better since. Full grown males that don't know how to shift. That has to be cutting into motorcycle sales on men let alone women who ...

I put two on my Vulcan in September, and did a 600 mile round trip right after that, and rode in good weather and some hard rain. Have to say I am quite pleased with them. While in the mountains of north Alabama, cornering enough to scrape the kick-stand, and the right foot peg at times, the Kenda's had an excellent grip. They are a hard rubber tire, which I prefer. Can't tell you yet what the ...

There are two chain tensioning devices. I am not sure about this one. I opened it up today for the doohicky-the lower one, http://www.klr650.marknet.us/doohickey.html , it does have problems. The doohicky has been tightened so much in one place that it has dents in the metal to the point of some small shrapnal. It is damaged and unadjustable. However- idk if thats the end of the story. ...

The procedure is to run the bike at a throttle position that gives the fuel system a chance to stabilize. That means at least a mile of running at full throttle. Pick a location where you can do that, in a gear that allows you to stay within the speed limit. For a bike like your Bandit, that may mean 2nd or 1st gear. Ride it at wide open throttle for at least a mile, then while at that speed and...

Hmmmm... My '07 C50T Boulevard... I love it of course and love riding it, looking at it... What's not so good? At walking pace I find it a bit unwieldy, could be me but once over walking pace it is sweet to handle and I can ride very slowly with my feet up. I would prefer slightly higher gearing as I often check for top gear only to find I'm already there, but for most of NZ the gearing is ...

Sorry, I don't drink while I'm actually riding. Been riding for 35 years and it is not too much trouble to stop, and it would seem to be far safer.
