I don't think reason had much to do with what happened to that man and his victims. The human mind is a ridiculously powerful thing, and sometimes we lose control of ours. I can't say I entirely agree with your national "loyalties" thing. First, I can't see anyone completely leaving behind the culture they were raised in. I don't even consider that a reasonable expectation. Second, we're all human...

I could do that and maybe tie in a few of our more active riders that actually have rode there before. Definitely will put it on the back burner for later on this upcoming year!!!

The flasher is the only common part between the two sides, so if one side works then it is not the flasher. Some bikes are wired to not flash to one side if there is a bad bulb in either the front or the back on that side, so if niether the front nor the back flash it may be that, especially if one or both is a dual filament bulb (an 1157 instead of an 1156 bulb), as the running light may come on...

I went on a group ride today and the weather was excellent. For next week they're forecasting the highs in the 50s and the week after the upper 40s. Not too bad if it holds true. That takes us almost up to Thanksgiving. What the heck, we deserve it.

i dont know about the headlight but i do know the front amber lights should always be on. they should be a double fillament lightbulb. just like a high and low beam. low beam when they are always on and high beam for the blinkers. sounds like you might have a couple bulbs out or a bad connection.

The disc lock will not damage the disc. The rain/humidity will cause a light rust on the disc that will wear off with use of the front brake.

Most folks around here have used good ol' rattle-can paints to black out some of the plastic covers (speedo, PAIR valve, air cleaner cover, etc.). Some even do the headlight bucket and ring. I recently painted my PAIR cover black (primer, 3 coats of color and 2 coats of clear coat - all lacquer). I had to restart a couple times and I had problems with burning through on the corners when wet ...

I was thinking today how life here in this country has changed. Alot of it is because of the recent economic downturn. My father's family moved from Alabama to Michigan in the 50's to get a job at GM. My dad walked off the street and into GM as a 19yr old and worked at the same plant for the next 37yrs. Still lives in Michigan, retired in his late 60's. My brother just lost his truck driving job ...

Here's a recent discussion on that. I got my three copies the other day. I'll probably update my parents' XP box first because it's having problems. My two machines are running very nicely on RC1. I'll get to them when I get to them. I've been watching the Twitter stream on Windows 7. It's been remarkably positive. I think Microsoft hit a homer this time.

Strapped the GPS to the bee to see how whacked the speedo is. Typical MC, about 9% high. Indicated 80 = 72.8 for real <sigh>.
