do you have a picture? could it be poison ivy? A lot of people get it in the fall, when the leaves have come off it, and they're clearing brush or something and don't recognize it. Are you on any new meds? I had a reaction to an abx, mine was on my torso, but similar sounding, little bumps, and intensely itchy. I saw the dr a week later and he said it wasn't a typical "allergic to abx" rash. It was eczema....

A month without charting... Ive made it through a week. Ill probably still chart CM... just to have that data... then I can always count back from AF and put in likely O date. Next month I must be ever vigilant. Like... supreme queen of charting do it at the exact same time with the exact same covers and NOTHING different (which will be hard as we have a 6 hour trip planned for approximately O day) to CTA. I bought 55 lbs more than 2 years ago, we're just now getting close to the end, though I don't use it for soaking in or anything, just cooking/eating. Eventually I figured out that moving it from the original bag to empty water jugs was much more convenient (I always worried about the original bag spilling, it's not re-sealable). It's yummy, and pretty.

Oh, those blueberry muffins remind me of an Elana's recipe- those things are dangerous- sooooo very good! Loving all the recipes. Wishing I felt more inspired to cook- I keep reading recipes that sound good, but don't feel like much cooking- we are eating nice home cooked meals- but nothing too elaborate and nothing extra. I never did make the choco-pb cups for dh- I took a nap instead

Oh yes. 5pm to 9pm is the worst time of day for us, although its gotten slightly better the past two weeks or so.
Basically, I can't get anything done, b/c the only way my LO is happy in the evening is attached to the boob. That's it. He just wants to nurse and doze all evening till he finally falls asleep for the night. The one thing he will calm down for is a bath. . .but that still ...

Happy 2 months Cora!
Grey's 7.5 weeks now... still a little bit longer until he hits two months.
This past week was the first week since he was born that he gained less than a pound. Seriously! He's up to a chubby 15lbs 7oz now. He's gotten a lot longer in that time as well... he's about 24.5 inches long.
He smiles and giggles and is generally pretty sweet during the day...

oooooooooooooooooh cool! I had wanted to lose my plug just because of all the gross stories I've heard about it. Mine didn't come out until I was in active labor. And by then I was too distracted to properly appreciate its grossness.
Here's to happy, healthy, awesome labor vibes, mama!

Check out Noeo, Real Science 4 Kids, and R.E.A.L. Science.
We use Noeo, which is put together by a Christian company. (we're secular). I like it because it uses regular books instead of textbooks, follows a Charlotte Mason/classical guide by having students create their own notebook/textbook, and has this statement on their website:
We assume that Bible study is already an integral and...

when you stripped, what did you use? did you use dawn? I have always found that a hot wash and a quirt squirt of dawn work extremely well? Maybe they aren't repelling but they just don't fit your child well? Are the inserts themselves repelling or just the pockets? Try a natural fiber insert like a flat instead of microfiber maybe? Do a vinegar soak for a few hours and then wash on hot with...

First post! heeee.
I just sat here for two hours and hand-sewed a baby toy... just because. Well, because I spent half the day today (sadly, no joke) finding and bookmarking DIY baby projects. I am determined to be skilled, resourceful and frugal!
I made it all pink and green with some zebra-stripe in black and white. Long story short, I have an aunt who is psychic (...

Gratitude is part of my daily life, but I love Thanksgiving as it is now -- you know, separated from its questionable historic roots through cultural amnesia, something Americans are particularly good at.
We celebrate with my extended family and it's one of my favorite holidays. No TV, no football, no drama. We just get together at my parents' house, eat a ton of really good food, talk, ...

Oops... I didn't think about it but we've had new additions to the group and I guess a lot of us here won't remember Brady. Quick recap:
This started right after I left the ex back in June. Things went well for a couple of months seeing each other every weekend and talking regularly. I really really like him and feel a connection with him I've never felt with anyone else. I don't know what he ...

If I'm too sick to stay home, then I'm too sick to take care of my child properly--and I would hate for HER to get sick being around me. The best thing for her is for me to rest properly, so that I can get better faster. And she'd be far happier with a full, active day at school then stuck at home with a mom who is too sick to get out of bed or do much of anything with her. So, yes, if I were ...

No, never, not at all.
In Hawaii we've had 3 such people who had the car stolen while less than 10 feet from a car, with a child in the back seat.

I think you do have to get over it. I've been down this road with my own mom, and what I've found is that you just can't dictate what people give as gifts. I think the only courteous response to any gift is to politely thank the giver, no matter what you've been given. I want my kids to behave that way, when they're given something, so I have to model it.
I know how aggravating it can be,...
