Greg last time I checked my dew points they fluctuated between 55 and 85 on a daily cycle. Jooleyo, I just do not think the micro climates you feel this species exists in, exist. If they curled up under a log or inches of leaf little like a death adder I would buy it but as sub adults and adults the leafy cover above the ground in the canopy provides very little relief from the radiant heat of the sun in the tropics. And as neonates the amount...

Input for New Snake Room
Published (2009-11-27 01:45:39)
Like Jason, i have problems venting the heat in summer. It gets up to 88 degrees sometimes. I run around and mist everything frantically. I installed a larger vent fan this Fall, should help. Here are links to some snake room threads from years past. Some of the photos are broken links, but it may help. I wish I had set it up exactly the way I wanted years ago, and then filled it up with so many snakes that i can't see the walls. I would...

I use EasyHeat electric heat cable. It comes in different lengths, which is
great if you are building your own rack. I bought mine online from Mor
Electric because they had the best price at the time. I would Froogle it. I
built a rack two or three years ago and am happy with it so far. I think it
is safer as it is a thick rubber coated cable instead of a thin plastic
coated sheet of wires. I ...

Hey John, I wish you good luck with this sale. The goal is really nice and I would love to hear more stories like this.
Anyway, I feel like I needed to correct you in just one thing, it is this AK's blue calico male, he is not a sibling to your female.
This is AK's Moken x Scarab critter, called Hox

I use the substrate and plants to provide humidity. I use cypress mulch, which keeps the tank pretty wet when it's fresh. After it dries out a bit,
I'll mist the substrate itself occasionally to keep humidity up. I never mist the snakes though, I think that soaking the snakes by spraying them or their
perches can lower their body temp unnecessarily. I live in an area with high humidity all year ...

Hey Josh, welcome to the forum.
Yes it is mandatory for all new members to post as many pics as possible for the rest of us crazed addicts!
You need to host your pics online in order to post them here. Photobucket.com is rather convenient since it is free, and the Yuku forum software can link
to your Photobucket account quite easily. You will notice when you are posting a topic/reply ...
