Grinding noise in tranny -...

Well, I have been noticing that i have this kind of grinding nouse in my car. I have always thought it might have been a wheel bearing. I iliminated that i idea not to long ago when i installed APP wheel studs up front to match the ones in the back, to make it track legal. Well, I thought it had to be in the motor then, it would seem like it would only do it at about 25-30 mph and then when I am at around 10-15 mph it would slow and stop. It...

Woohooo friday is here!!! So, with the boat, yes, theres alot to do, and if the engine is trash, then what? My monte is my daily driver, but guess what, I don't have a car payment on it. You get involved in a boat right, and then your money is tied up in it, and something goes wrong with the car and you can't find the money, thats when its hard

But basicly, the Monte Carlo isnt a project, its a daily car. I wasnt really planning to pour money into it, but I know that I will need to, to get it running perfectly. I'm going to talk to the people soon, if all goes well, $250. may be the sold price. And for that kinda boat, to me, its a steal. I'm still unsure, because the motor can be just trashed, but if not, it may just be something simple.

Are u sure that the coolant is full? If your low, then that will cause the gauge to read low, because there isn't much water to take temperature of. Gauges only take the temperature of the coolant as it passes over it. If u have any air pockets, it won't read very high. Even if your thermostat were stuck open, it would still get hotter than 150 because the water isn't staying in the radiator ...

Cool, another MA guy. Your price range is good, there are many around for that. I see people selling them cheap most of the time. There is one on craigslist right now thats white with a 454 BBC in it. The car nees some work tho... It was like $2500. Good to see you around here. When you get one its time to play destruction derby with that civic

If it's a 2004R, then it's most likely your torque converter clutch
engaging and disengaging. You could have a bad solenoid, or the computer
isn't getting a good read on what the car is doing and commanding it to go
on and off like that.

tracked it down for me and found they only wanted 400 bucks for it . with
out looking at it i bought it. I got it home and it was rusted out aswell,
it became my parts car

every 2wd S10 spindle- from '82-'04- will bolt right into every '78-'88 A/G body chassis. the 78-88 A/G body is called the "metric" chassis by some people (circle track guys mostly).

stock distributor has to go as well. the a/c wiring is seperate but u will
need an a/c idle compensator solenoid from edelbrock (part #-8059) that
will accelerate the engine when the a/c is on otherwise it will stall. kit
runs for about $100
