Its tough. I've had the same debate many times. I'm more stressed. I'm not as "happy" as I used to be (in some ways, its hard to explain). I always wonder if we would just be better off if I got a job NOW, even though it wouldn't be my "dream" job, it would be more financial security than we currently have. In the end, for me, it all comes to down the fact that if you subtract the extra...

Friday Five - Snow

? Does it snow often where you live? Believe it or not, it does on Mauna Kea. Do you ski? No. Ever built a snowman? Yes, but not good ones since leaving the mainland some 32 years ago.? The snow has a different texture over here, doesn't compact correctly for snowmen or snowballs. Ever had a snowball fight?? You betcha! Make snow angels?? Yes.? Those work better than snowmen over here.

Argh. I used to have such a great groove, I made good decisions, had a good network of people, etc.? Ever since we moved here, I have been off my game! I feel like a majority of the decisions I've made since we moved here 3 yrs ago, have not been good ones. While I love school, I just don't know that I can/should keep this up for 1.5 more years. I am taking student loans for all of it but had expected to get a partial scholarship of...

It was a crazy weekend! Friday we got some major snow (for us!) We got about 2 inches, that actually stuck. I know if you live up north that doesn't sound like much, but living in a sub- tropical climate, that is CRAZY. Its the most snow they have seen here in well over 20 years. The schools let out early, the kids were thrilled with building snowmen and having snowball fights. Friday night ...

Yeah, I'm trying to take a few days to think about it. I don't mind going for a few hours Mon thru Th in the mornings, but I always leave fridays open since CJ is out at noon every other week. Plus I have to pace myself and I' m learning what I can and can't handle as I go. I ended up switching to the option with the Math class for now. That may change by the end of the week. LOL Somewhere ...

Does it snow often where you live? nope, never lived anywhere that is snows regularly. Growing in CA we lived about 4 hours drive from snow and went at least once a year, when the kids were little we lived 2 hours from snow and also went at least once a year. Now the closest real snow is a 16 hour drive away, so we haven't seen snow since we moved here 4 years ago. Do you ski? Nope, been many ...

Its COLD and I am not happy about it. 38 right now. Only a high in the 50's for today. I hate, hate, hate it. Tomorrow is going to be worse, chance of snow...low is supposed to be 28. UGH. I just can't take it, I am sitting here with 2 pairs of pants, 3 sweaters/sweatshirts, 3 socks, a blanket and a hat. The heater is set at 70, but it just can't get the house that warm. I need to get ...

Real or fake? fake. We switched when we lived in the desert because we couldn't get fresh real ones and they would be all brown and ugly long before Christmas. I had always hated fake trees and swore I would never have one, but it was getting ridiculous, ours would have NO needles on christmas and was a major fire hazard. So we got a really high-quality $600 fake one on clearance one year (75%...

the stress won't be out until next week! I have finals on Tuesday and Thursday. I'm not freaked out about them, but I do need to do well. I have an instructor riding my butt, and she admits it, so I have to really show what I know. I feel like an idiot when I don't know stuff. I miss a nonymity !

Nursing school. It is the HARDEST thing I've ever done, and I'm only finishing up semester 1.
Ugh. I hear you. At least you have something to fall back on. The program I'm in changed from a diploma RN program to a bachelor's program. Staring next fall. So if you fail a class, have a "life moment" etc, there is NO OTHER CLASS TO FALL BACK ON. You start again from square one in the BSN...

We did not have as productive a weekend as I planned... We got family pictures done, took about 300 shots over two hours at the park, haven't gone through them yet. We got the Christmas tree up last night though. But we made NO progress on the outside lights or the rest of the decorations inside the house. This is going to be a CRAZY week. Today, I am taking Sammy to the vet for an exam ...

I would like a new cell phone (maybe a blackberry or iphone). My bday is just before Christmas so it is an extra special time of year for me.
My dh usually surprises me with something that I hadn't thought of but love.
My oldest wants a DSI and some ski outerwear.
My youngest does not know what she wants. She is 6. Not sure what to get her. She likes playmobile alot.
I have ...
