Never use DC as a front end server. All of your non mapi connections will drop on FE end server and I am sure you will never want to drop external connections on a DC. Any Exchange is not supported on DC. How ever you might keep the BE server on the DC for practical reasons. So i think you can follow these steps: 1. Never run a DCPROMO (either to promote or demote a DC) on exchange server, so making your existing server a FE server is not a...

Do I Need SQL Server 2008?
Published (2009-11-18 20:55:00)
SQL server is a RDBMS product implemented by microsoft . If you dont want it , just disable the SQl servcies from services.msc tools. After disabling it , you might know if any of other tools depend on it or not. Give a few more days and remove SQL server finally.

Where is Easy Transfer?
Published (2009-11-18 19:43:00)
Right Ronnie, but oddly the link to easy transfer is not to be found. When upgrading from XP on the first install wizard there should be a link to access WET from the DVD without downloading or browsing the DVD (root\support\migwiz) folder. It's supposed to streamline the process. I enlarged the illustrations please see first post.

Hi,   I would like to suggest you read the Windows 7 Upgrade Paths and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor first.   If everything is fine, I also would like to suggest you update the BIOS and the hardware drivers. After that, you may copy the Installation files from the Windows 7 Upgrade disk to your local hard disk and start the Upgrade Install from your local hard disk in Clean Boot .   If the issue persists, you may also run System File...

Those replies are cached LegacyExchangeDN values in the x500 format and that is what Outlook is referencing. You have a couple of options: 1. Add those old LegacyExchangeDN values to the objects in AD as x500 addresses so they can be found during directory lookups. 2. When replying have the users clear the TO: and explicity choose the address they want to reply to from the GAL. You can use something like admodify to do that in bulk:...

I don't see the relevance of Performance Point to this question which seems to ignore Performance Point beyond the first line. But if you have any questions that ARE about Performance Point then please note that they don't come here but that Performance Point Server 2007  - has it's own set of forums here  http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/performancepointserver/

when you ran the import wizard to import the accounts, did you select 'allow duplicates' as 'yes'? You'd have seen that on one of the last pages in the import wizard. the default there is set to 'no' - so import will fail for those accounts that match the same name as the ones that you have created.. also, you can turn off the dup detection rules on accounts entity if you don't want them by ...

First, take note of the error message; Now try putting the word EXISTS before the left parend after the IF clause and remove the ">= 1" syntax.  An alternative method that probably won't perform as well is to remove all of the columns in the SELECT clause of the IF statement and substitute a COUNT(classNotesPhotoAlbum.AlbumID) instead. For instance: IF EXISTS( SELECT classNotesPhotoAlbum...
