if you did that in a command prompt,, and still got a cmd flash (where the command window opens and closes immediately) then you should go ahead and do some of the scans,, with both of those areas (defrag and cmd) disabled I would consider a possible malware infection

I would also turn the question around.  Knowing that SQL is the biggest performance bottleneck for SharePoint and knowing that SP2010 is heavily resource intensive, why would you want to use 32-bit SQL?  It's not even a good idea with MOSS 2007.

Windows 7 has had issues identifying certain batteries, as you can easily see searching the forum. Due to such prevalence, it is safe to say the issue will be addressed. Thank you for reporting your troubles on the forums. Also note-you need to have both the x64 and 32 bit boot images added to this DP even if you are deploying a 32bit image. Found that out the hard way! Increasing the amount of memory only helps if you are running low, and the system is having to actively use its paging file. Without knowing what kind of workload your system is running, it's hard to say. If you are never using more than 4GB, then no - increasing the amount of RAM won't do anything. If you are routinely using more than 4GB, then yes, increasing the available memory will help....
