I would suggest starting with one of the "Screen" presets and tailor it for your exact needs if you're looking for proper settings to export your XESC files into WMV or MP4 files to be used in your favorite NLE. If possible, you should also use similar settings in your NLE (for example: CVBR with a relatively high peak, longer keyframes offsets, etc). Other than that, you might have better luck getting answers...

Howdy, Can you find the Buxton Sketch font in the font list at all? You may have to apply it manually as I too have noticed that mine dissappears sometimes, which could be down to multi versions of Blend installed. Cheers

Eric! great news :) I disabled Apple h.264 like you suggested and not only did the file NOT fail to import, I see a roughly 50% increase in speed and cpu utilization up near 90% which is most likely due to EE3 using the halli codec rather than the slower apple h.264 codec! Here are my tests with Apple h.264 DISABLED! Expression Encoder Complexity 3 now 7min, was 14min vbrc 5,000kbps avg, 10,000kbps peak, x2 pass now 7min, was 14min vbru...

You're right about IDImager being Windows only. But I've been reading on the IDImager forum as well as TheDamBook forum that people are using it on Macs with virtual Windows (or whatever that's called) rod

JerryCic: Thanks for the feedback. We've noticed the crashing cases on some computers and investigating into this. We'll keep the status updated on the forum and make sure it got solved in the coming releases. One more question. What is the DPI you are using and does it always crash or somettimes it crashes. LY

Mac Pro 8 core, 10 GB memory, 3 TB disk space, 10.6.1 Expression Media 2 SP2 is very very slow to import images from a DVD. A single level DVD takes over 3 hours to read. Adobe Bridge and Lightroom 2 take approximately 15 minutes. The activity monitor shows almost no CPU activity, and disk reads are averaging 300KB/sec. This identical drive reads DVDs at 9.5Mb/sec, which is 3.8x faster.

I recently created several icons directly in Blend for use on our new software. I now am needing to work with all of these icons in other drawing programs, such as Microsoft Expression Design. I am currently using version 2 of both programs, and cannot seem to find a way to copy the vector paths in Blend, and paste them into Design. Is there a way to accomplish this? Am I missing something ...

Hello, I just upgraded from a 3.8gz p4, 3gb ram to a quad core 3ghz amd 945, 8gb ram and while I see a huge difference in speeds between those two computers I don't seem to get a performance jump when compared to other media encoders. Hi I just downloaded my copy of expression studio 3 from mictosoft. I installed it and the first thing i do is try to use encoder screen capture. I capture a few seconds and stop recording.
