This parent thinks the team that defeated your example 'first team' by a goal and then went on to win the P1 championship had the better season. :)

Ahead of this weekend’s games authorities have warned parents to be on the look out for a number of suspicious persons prowling around the soccer fields. These individuals are easily recognizable by their habit of wearing high quality soccer warm ups and expensive cleats in spite of being clearly out of shape and heavily over weight. They have a habit of...

Is playing 3 v 3 tournaments good or necessary for a players development? 3 v 3 tournaments are not necessary for player development. They can be good for player development under certain circumstances and below a certain age. Player development (physical) occurs typically at ages 13/14 and below. Once they go through puberty, very few new skills are learned. Any improvement that occurs ...

Sorry for your bad experience. My kid was raised at the famous Marquette Park Futsal Court in the Barrio in Grand Rapids. We both love the game very much. Futsal is about skill, showmanship and respect! Too bad the dude (he is no coach) running the other team did not understand this. People like that have no place in youth soccer or the wonderful game of futsal. Futsal on many levels is as ...

What is the Michigan PDP offering that is so distinct different of what's already out on the market. For years clubs, coaches have "selected" players during the off-season (winter/summer) to train and play competitive games/tournaments. Why start with one age-group only (U14 girls)? Who are the coaches involved that are going to train these athletes? What additional costs can a ...

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a Hawks person. In fact, I'm more than a little distraut with the political influence that club has on youth soccer. Despite my general ill feelings for the club, I do believe that their u13 team has hit full stride and should prove to be successful in State Cup. I think the contenders will be Crew Jrs, Jags, and the Gators. Having ...
