I like him! I don't have the money to drop on a figure like that right now, but if I did the pix alone would've sold me. I've only seen the movie once, so I don't know how accurate it is, but for as detailed as it is, he looks like an awesome figure.

Yep...there are about 5 or 6 sellers that have them, just do a search for cy girl body. As far as i know, store-rooms is the only one that also includes a head. Not for the heads, that i'm aware of...I know Dardon carries the bodies though.

Joint help

This might sound odd but for some of the joints and "piping" of the wings you could use the articulated arms from the newer barbie bodies, the are quite thin and could most likely be found at a Goodwill at cheapest. It would involve sand and cutting but it could work possibly. I don't know much about this but read your post and this is the first thing I though of.

AA Takara bootleg on the way?

The other question is, if they are fakes/bootleged copies, wouldn't putting the Takara name and copyright on it be an even worse violation than just illegally copying the design? I would think that if this is being done without...

AA Takara bootleg on the way?

If this were a case of theft, Takara's attorneys would shut them down, and the same holds true for the body that was released earlier. Takara has shut bootleggers down before so they do enforce their patents. Obviously this body is a copy of Takara's design, but maybe its differences are enough to satisfy the legal community (and they're the ones that "call the shots" in modern society). Count me in for this...

I fixed mine in a bit more of a hamfisted manner. LOL Since Vanity didn't come with those screw covers, i tried just drilling a small pilot hole, then
using the threaded portion of a cup hook to try and reattach the leg. It worked for about a week or two, then it fell off again. After repeated attempts (and
drilling deeper into the pelvis itself, i finally got sick of it, took a drywall screw, ...

I like her alot! Cute and a little hippy! Is it just a Cy body under there?
She looks cute and I like the beret! Nice head too, looks like one of the
nicer older Barbie heads, before they got odd sized and over worked (or
under in some cases) now good heads are far and few between. Like the
outfit too, good in keeping with your theme also.

Michael and Alessandro look interesting from a strictly headsculpt point of view (I know little about soccer..). Anyone actually own any of these that can give
a review?

I'm surprised they didn't keep Enfields for parades and stuff. The older rifles give a better 'clatter' when doing the manual-of-arms thing
(right shoulder...arms! etc). Which is why the German Wachbataillon uses ww2 Mauser rifles during parade.

Cold water and vinegar I think...let it soak for awhile (possibly
overnight), then rinse.
