You are right that our diets also lack calcium, fruits and vegetables. We are also deficient in Vitamin D and sometimes other nutrients as well. A balanced diet is key, and cannot be obtained with a pure vegetarian diet ( Again according to...

B/c this board will set standards, and there is a good chance these standards will favor CAFOs, thus put the "little guys" out of business. Here is a thought-why don't we have stickers we put on the meat that lets consumers know where it came from and how many animals...

So what are "authentic Mexican tacos"? Does that mean they're actually imported from Mexico, made by immigrants of questionable legal status in the U. S., give the consumer the instant need to imbibe vast quantities of Imodium, and/or contain so much chili they're prone to spontaneous combustion?

This is a pretty good article, considering the author says his favorite salsa is from E2. Quote, "It has a good, fresh taste and some zing. The level of heat varies from day to day, but it is always good and spicy, never bland. The E2 salsa is between thick/chunky and watery. " Nice story, would have been good for the Sunday edition, but it adds a little volume to the weekly "business magazine" ...

These boxed broths are OK out of dire necessity, or to 'extend' a recipe- but, for flavor, there's NO legitimate comparison (yes, I've tested most of them.) and there's NOTHING to making homemade stock-it's a terrific, home-fragrant thing to simmer away on the weekend. Collect all ...

Dear Chef Todd: I enjoyed your article. It seems you've managed to find some of fascinating historical information regarding Turkey. I highly recommend reading a couple of books; some of the old history such as the Lord of the Horizons by Jason Goodwin, Sons of the Conquerors by Hugh Pope or Crestcent and Star by Stephen Kinzer for more contemporary history. Timeless Tastes would probably be the ...

I am not a fan of country and western music. But if I am stuck listening to it, at least let it NOT be a radio station with talking, news, etc. Let it be a CD of Hank Williams or Willie Nelson.
