Jon, the pen test is simple. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on this: -Remove BPV from car -take pen (or other object that won't damage piston) and push up on piston inside valve -use your thumb to cover smaller nipple once piston is up above resting position -if good, piston should not move (or move slightly) it should not return to its resting position I recommend you do it several times just to make sure all is right with it.

Ya, rust & the subframe = FML. About to go get tires balanced/rotated at Tire Discounters to get a "free diagnosis." lol Give me a better idea of what exactly I need to fix. I have a feeling I'm about to replace my struts, at least 1 cv joint (might as well do both I'm thinking). I will be salty if my bearings/hub have any problems. Gonna do some routine stuff too, spark plugs, oil change, the usual. So on that...

I'm almost with you on the air filter thing. I've got a K&N on my airplane that I installed when I built the airplane. I guess it's a good thing; but, I'm not sure the K&N on the Miata I just purchased is. OTOH, it's kinda hidden and doesn't give me the fancy bling thing like your installation. Otherwise, I might do as you did. We'll see. It depends on the cost of the cleaning kit vs the ...

Beat R6V2 last night. I enjoyed how they tied the 1st & 2nd story lines together. The final "boss" battle is a bitch on Realistic.
P.S. Who's getting GTA4? I understand there's multiplayer involved?

Well since I had a long weekend and no reason to keep the car in service I
decided to fill all the motor mounts, cept the rear one- didn't want the
hassle, installed the ss braided clutch line that I have had since I bought
the car, and moved my MAF to the cold pipe. I wanted to install the gauge
bezel rings I've owned for over a year and do the alarm/ door lock setting
turbo timer trick, but ...

Yes. Always. No it's wonderful for your baby if you rev-match. If you just ride the clutch down to the next gear...then yes it is bad for your baby.

I removed my corksport exhaust and installed the Mazdaspeed one from the dealer, part # 0000-8M-C09. Also bought the MSP radio pocket and the Mazdaspeed floor mats after I wore a hole in mine from shifting with size 14 boats.
