I personally have never seen a water pump failure on this car but it would be a same to skimp on something like that especially when you are 99% there. $37 is a pretty good investment if your going to sell the car. Everyone likes to hear those words "New timing belt, water pump, gaskets......".

As far as the brakes are concerned, I've never driven an audi but I thing the millenias brakes are very nice. In fact in a review of entry level luxury cars it had the best braking distance iirc. The millenia overall is a fairly high quality but the supercharged engines are known to have problems. I'm sure those owners can tell you more about that though. Edit: OH Goliat beat me to it! Definately check brake pads and fluid.

Welcome to the forum! It is pretty straight forward; follow the lower, driver side radiator hose to where it is attached. First drain the coolant through the drain plug under the passenger side of the radiator. Then take out the hose supporting bolt in the front head, and the two bolts facing forward on the thermostat housing, where the lower hose is attached. Install the new thermostat with the spring facing backwards, and retighten...

I feel your pain. I'd going to be doing this exact same thing sometime next week (for the 3rd time!!). Make sure and give my past posts on HLAs a read over if you haven't already. You will most likely be able to save your existing ones by cleaning them. My post explains it all. Some things to look out for: Def. replace the tensioner. You will need a hydraulic press or a large bench vise...

It is pretty self explanatory but I understand some made need some pointers here and there. I tossed all my factory intake plastic pieces so these pics are more of a ?post removal of factory component? install. If you can remove all the ...

Very cool. It's so nice that almost everything is interchageable between almost all years. More cars should be like that! So did you ever put the 01 dashboard in place of the ugly brown one?

QUOTE(CA Millenia @ Nov 14 2009, 10:37 AM) I got my 2000 Millenia 2.5 with one key and no remotes. So I bought one off of ebay, and it seems fine. It came with programming instruction, too. I seem to be qable to get the car into program mode, but when I push one of the remote keys twice to finish up the job, it doesn't take. The folks I bought it from say its a working unit off...

Welcome to the forum... im always the first to say that. now the S'charged milly is quite a car. Wht you should look for: -smoke at start up (usually means s'charger is on its way out the door. -oil in the intercooler, first signs of the s'charger breaking down. -the braking should be low brakes. ask the owner when was the last time he/she changed the brakes. And while ur in that area a ...

So I finally laid into my car with the intake on it. It's about 60 degrees here and the car is screaming down the road, the acceleration really surges more when I get past 3500 rpms. Just thought would share.
