I think its for Mass College of Pharmacy, judging by the Manchester, Worcester and Boston Campuses.
Someone should change or add in the subject line MCPHS or something similar.
I thought for a minute it was the City of Boston Site Officers (the new unarmed "municipal police").

None that I know of. I was part of an auxiliary in the early 80's. We could stop to assist a motorist, (Breakdown, directions)....but couldn't make a car stop for a violation.

I interviewed with them before.
THe security thing isn't necessarily true (though when I interviewed they were putting 2 on and one was a prior security officer) They are willing to send the right person to the SSPO accademy. I do believe they will hire people with the SSPO waiver as well. Not sure if they eventually send you, but they seem squared away. I think the pay has gone up a bit ...

Just seen as breaking news, Mass State Trooper shot while conducting a search warrant. Minor injuries as his vest stopped the round. I believe this happened in New Bedford. Will update as I get it. Speedy Recovery to the Trooper

As far as Boston goes, any blade over two-and-a-half inches is illegal to carry; M.G.L. Chp. 269, Section 10 paragraph b says one-and-one-half inches is the legal limit. I'd go with the State definition, and carry nothing over that limit.
