Yeah but generally you don't come out with "koryu jujutsu" on your marketing, if anything I would expect to see what ryu it is. If they were to be so public.

I have said this many times - so you are going to run away leaving your GF in heels or your kid in a pushchair to face an nutter with a blade. Wow I bet you really feel good about yourself. That is where the run away fails for me. Well obviously we aren't going to run away if we have to protect someone else. But thanks for stating the obvious.

I'm a pretty slow learner - I need to see the technique done with speed and power first (this is what it looks like), and then several times slowly, and then broken down into parts, the whole thing slowly, and again at speed and power. I then need lots of repetition with a partner and coaching. Luckily, once I "got it", I think I tend to retain it.

Depends if they're unusually good at KSW, I'd guess.
If there's some guy who's skipped a grade but is really really good, I'd imagine he'll get the respect he's owed.

Hi, Thomas:
How would say this book differs from the 2-vol set that the KUKSOOLWON people use?
Can you compare and contrast it with the KUKSOOLWON book by KIMM He-young?
Thoughts?
Best Wishes,
Bruce

Maybe one of the reasons why a lot of classical arts strike (some but not all of the time) in a step through motion, same hand/same foot (ipsolateral?) is that allows you to break distance and close quickly?
Anyone here ever tried walking in this old school nanban-aruki way?

I'm not the best person to comment but I've seen more devastating strikes in one hit karate kumite than i have in mma fighting. To me the semi contact and point stuff is a way to ease you into full contact. Get your technique right then focus on fighing type thing.

I like my job too (well, apart from the odd bit of BS caused by someone else messing their job up and leaving me to pick up the pieces). I find that once I'm at work I'm ok, it's just getting out of bed at such an ungodly hour that I dislike.
